dear moms,
if i may share my experience.
HKPS, I like the curriculum and the international class, as i observed, are good.  A few of the NET are however relatively 'new' and young but the senior ones are good.  However, hygiene wise, I don't like that they allow children to step onto the mat for story telling area cos children are sitting there. Maybe I came from another playgroup which has good hygiene standard.
St Catherine, I only have praise for this school. K1, collaboration of NET and Chinese teacher is very good. Teachers teach in a fun and loving way. I also particularly like their invitation to parents to participate in their school activities like storytelling etc. It's an ópen school. And when something happens like when my daughter hurt her lips, the teacher calls me. And they are always available to answer your queries (though I do not have many!)
Kids there are usually middle class, very well behaved and lovely. Security wise is good too.
Most important is: my daughter loves going to school and talks about her teachers and friends all the time.
I think St Cat can prepare students for most schools well.  They also do not push. Actually, I think the K1 curriculum is very simple, which they learnt in playgroup. But they DO learn and enjoy. I heard K2 would be more advanced.
As for the gateway to getting into good P1, I feel that:
- St Cat is neutral. Results are pretty good.
- Heard that HKPS and KM are better for boys cos of the so called 'affiliation'of these schools with DBS (HKPS) and La Salle (KM) but i think you should verify if it's true.
- CCKG for girls cos a very high percentage gets into DGS for some reason.
These are just my personal opinion. Having walked the path these 3 yrs, I've realised that whatever people say, it is a judgement call as to which school to send your child to.  Ultimately, it depends on your child (temperament, ability, personality....) and you know best.

N classes - both AM & PM classes
Lower - ALL PM classes
Upper - ALL AM classes

(same as Kentville)

我今日最終寄出了根德園的退學信，雖然遲了些，但我相信學校方面應可找到後備補上。

我囡囡現在已決定去st. Cat讀K1，請各同學仔來年多多指教小女。

I have applied many kindergartens for my girl and some of them accepted her. With a lot of struggle, I finally chose SC for my girl. Hope that it is the right choice.

It is....I strongly recommend. My daughter is VERY happy there. School support, environment and peers are all good. I chose SC over Kentville.

I heard that there are too many children within a class. Would u mind to share your comments with me. Do u know if they can allow parent visit their school? I still not yet make up my mind among the school of St. Cat, Soka and Keenmind because the first two one is accepted at pm class. Hope to share your comment. Tks!

我都幫囡囡揀咗sc, 我個囡係斯文定性型, 所以至揀sc, 想活一d, 費事佢真係斯文得濟唔出聲, 都希望冇揀錯, 佢讀得開心, 又學到嘢啦

您地搵咗車返學未? 定會自己送返學呢?
我上個月已經搵咗褓姆車喇

不過唔知幾時做校服好, 都要打去校服公司問下,係唔係即有至得

返學之前, 您地會唔會同小朋友去下旅行先呀?
定會比佢地學下嘢先呢?

我應同momfromhkg的講法, STRONGLY RECOMMEND,你千祈唔好介意pm班而放棄學位, 因K3全部都可返am班。我的細女亦會在今年九月讀K1pm班(我自選下午班的, 因三年前大女返St.Cat am班, 早上7:45已在樓下等校車, 很慘)。St.Cat真係一間好學校,頭兩年我唔覺得同其他幼稚園有很大分別, 到K3後便發覺佢的英文水準是很好的,尤其Phonics(K3的學生巳可以用ip,up,at,ug,un um......等拼音去作句 eg.A fat cat sat on the mat. A dog saw a frog sitting on a log.) 我的朋友的仔女有讀根德及劍鳴,佢地都有出外補英文, 但寫起英文及串起字來, 拍馬都追唔上我哋。總之, 想打好個底讀小一時舒舒服服,就揀St.Cat啦,有問題PM我。

很多謝你的意見. 好像打了支強心針. 另我想問ST. CAT 一班有幾多學生, 師生比例如何. 直至K2, K3是否都一樣. 如活動教學式的同時對待人接物的教導會否不太偏重. 而老師又有否愛心, 因囡囡較為倚賴但又自我. 不知是否適合. 不好意思, 我有太多問題.

St.Cat的每班學生人數是沒有規定的, 以我大女為例(K1,18人, 2個老師1個助教, K2 24人,2個老師1個助教, K3 30人,又係2個老師1個助教),我應為學校只會覺得隨著小朋友長大,自理能力多了,所以有這安排。老師有冇愛心??睇你的要求和好彩,大致上都好好的。St. Cat的理念係家校合作, 如我女兒在家及學校有任何問題,都可和班主任商討替女兒解決的。個個孩子在家裏都總是倚賴和撒嬌的,但在學校裏D小朋友便會表現得很獨立,來顯示自已好大個,老師亦常常會稱讚及鼓勵他們去嘗試,總之St.Cat比到小朋友很大自由度又學到知識,所以到了K1下學期之後你的小朋友口中會常常提住St.Cat, 不用太擔心你的囡囡會唔適應。
