請問火炭樂基多數升邊間小學

? 如果讀國際班, 是否英文+普通話? 是否要接國際小學

? 如接local school, 中文程度是否追到? 請指教.

They posted their 'P1 allocation for 09's K3 graduates' on notice board on the day they distributed app forms.

I saw most schools are local ones with some famous shatin schools like 呂明才，官小, etc., but some students also went to average local schools. Then one of their NET teachers said some students were transferred to int'l school after K2 so the notice didn't reflect all K3 graduates' results. She said int'l class targets for families either the father/mother is native Mandarin speakers [not sure why some students applying for cantonese/english were assigned to int'l stream finally...]

thks for your info. Since I hvn't decided yet to go for Int'l / local stream, do u think it's a correct decision to study INTERNATIONAL playgroup (PN) in HKPS(ASCOR)?

You are welcome, I just shared what I saw & experienced. My baby was rejected by HKPS Ascot so I may not be qualified to give you any advice haha...Did you get local or int'l stream offer? People usually hope their kids to get into famous KGs but it also important that the school suits your kid and what primary schools you are aiming for. If you hesitate for int'l class, you can send request to school about the switch.

Maybe my girl is a big B (0812) & that's why they accepted her.  I applied HKPS last year & got rejected too.  Don't feel upset/disappointed w/your kid.  The competition is really keen.

How old is your baby?

Actually, I only hv another offer from CPSKG (K1, not PN) in Kln Tong.  As I know, they have their own primary backup.  I am also struggling which school is more suitable for my girl. Do you know this school?  Any comment on it?

I only know HKPS-KLN is famous & very hard to get in, but not really sure of HKPS-Ascort.

Actually, I've applied Anglo-Chinese class but got Int'l class offered?  The staff said it's becoz there are too many applicants on Anglo-Chinese class & my girl is more suitable to Int'l class.  PS my hubby & I are not native English / Mandarin speakers.

Thanks for your encouragement.  My bb is july 09.

It depends if you are willing to let your bb repeat PN.  My own opinion--I may not wish to spend an extra year if my small bb already got K1 offer from my targeted schools, unless I love the school very very much.
You may consider the below questions to get a better idea:

--location: which is closer to your home?
--which campus/environment do you/your kid like more?
--if you take hkps's offer, will you have more confidence to get into good primary schools after the 4 years w/ its KG?
--if you take CPSKG's k1 offer, will you be satisfied if your bb continues studying their primary school after 3 years with its KG?

I am sure you will choose the best for your kid!
