Good day ha!
The teachers there are very experience and they are not that stuborn and unreasonable. I remembered my daughter was transferred from ESF to SFA and she knew nothing in Chinese. However, after having a good chat with my daughter's Chinese teacher over the phone, he started using another method to teach my daughter and my girl began to improve more and more in Chinese. As a parent, you need to observe your kids' behaviour and dislike. To find out early to help them when they face problem in learning. Hence, I helped by calling the teacher in charge to discuss and share my kid background as from international school to them, so they would know the student better. Otherwise, they will treat my daughter from one of the local kindergarten. Definitely, every teacher has no time to read every student portfolio so you need to step out to talk to them. In SFA, they have confident building and presentation in lesson such as project learning (where individual students must present in class), others such as teacher will pick some good language skills students to attend interview with a foreign teacher to be selected for their English Ambassdor or Mandarin Ambassdor. These are another way of building students confident in speech to represent SFA in all event. E.g. P1 application day will need ENG and Mandarin Ambassdor to speak with potential P1 parents on that day. They will share their joy at school and show their language skills.
