Yes, i agree Anfield is much more strict than Tutor Time, which i also feel that the teachers at Anfield have more experience than Tutor Time.

Tutor Time is American style and Anfield is England stlye, these are the difference between them.

I visited two schools recently.  Tutortime is relatively new and have more spaces for kids.  Teachers are younger and energetic.  

As for Anfield, the teachers are very experienced and stable.  As Anfield established for some time ago while Tutortime is just around 3 years, the facilities is a little bit old.

For me, I choose Anfield for my kid because I think it is better for some experienced teachers to take care of the younger kids.

Hi Blythe_miki , Thank you for your reply and sorry for my late feedback as I was busy on selecting the maid.  Could you give me more details for "Starter"?? Any web?? And why you choose Starter after K2 instead of ESF primary??

My choice are:

1st -- ESF
2nd-- Starter
3rd -- Anfield

So, if ESF do not accept my son, i will send him to Starter, actually, all of the above mensioned kindergarten have Primary 1, which is K1, K2, K3 and then Year 1.   Anyway, all the student study in Anfield or Starter will still get back to ESF primary

i m also thinking of gettiing into Anfield but not sure to start from 2 year old sharp or wait a few more months. My baby already attend two class now in kids gallery and I may switch her to Anfield from 2 or bigger. havn't decided yet. I dont want her to attend the nursery everyday. may be three times a week . any suggestion?

I visited Starter, Anfield and Tutor Time few weeks ago.  I found that Starter is too too old and too too small, the space for childred seems to be not enough.  Although I heard that the graduates from there will yield higher chance to ESF, I won'tl choose it.  I think for pre-school education, the feeling of the kid should be put on the 1st place.  I prefer my kid study in a happy enviorment.  (I don't mean Starter is not a good school).  As to Tutor Time, I and my husband feel that they're too commercialised.  I've read the information about the teachers there, only 2-3 are expat. and most of them are Asian, the school claimed that all the Asian are "ABC", English is also their first language.  However, we also feel that their teachers are too young.  Unexpectedly, we found that Anfield is the best choice for us.  Before, I feel that Anfield is old and the decoration of the school is not so attractive (not colourful, likes TT).  After visit and talk to Ms. Elsa, I found that they really have a plan to train children, both academic and emotional aspects.  During the visit, I also found that the teacher and the school officer can remember most of the name of their students, so warm.  As a result, I'm going to send my kid there after summer!  I'm planning to join 3 times a week, otherwises, it's too tired for me.
If someone has other feelings about the above schools, pls share!  I just want to express what I feel (may be wrong

I prefer Anfield to Tutortime as I talked to Anfield's Supervisor for about an hour last Saturday. I was impressed by her attitude and eagerness. She's devoted to developing the school. But it's not easy to get to ESF primary schools after studying at Anfield as the competition is keen and the admission policy will be changed in 2007.

I don't think Anfield has Primary 1, does it?  Also Starters has K1 & K2 (half day) and a full day Primary 1.  It doesn't have K3.

My son joined the playgroup in Tutortime for more than 6 months.  The English teacher is terrible, not caring at all.  Suggest to try others if you have other choices.

My daughter has attended the Sat playground of Anfield for 2 courses.
The teachers there are very nice, experienced, pay attention to children and full of care.
The class teacher will talk to the children one by one at the play time and they remember the name of children (maybe the class is not big, so they could remember the name).
嬸嬸 is nice too. They wear smile on their face all the time.

It will organize some outdoor activities for the children. For example, they arrange swimming section (around 20min) for the children in summer period.

In addition, the school bus allow to take the adult who accompany the child (one child & one adult) . I don’t know the charge but it is very important if we live far from the school.

In general, I am satisfied with the school  

On the other hand, concerning the phonics, I heard that the phonics will start to change to Jolly phonics gradually next year.
