If my son has only applied for private primary and DSS this year, could i join the governnment school allocaton next year?

dear jokey,
what you say is just what I orginially think. but when I phone ED they said even if i let my son study in private and DSS p1, next year I can still join the government allocation. That make me quite confused.

Where do you get your information?

I guess personally that they have that regulation but they would not check. Just my own speculation.
