I guess there was no Mid-Autumn Festival celebration because of the flu endemic.  Halloween parties was a great time for the kids in the past because they could go to other classrooms to play trick or treat and it's fun having teachers and kids all in costumes.  Wonder if they can do it this year.

My girl has 2 pigtails also...haha...
I find lot of girls with pigtails in GE class....

Yes, I also feel HKPS is pushy now.....my girl is 2006 Dec baby so she is a very small kid in the class....I am a bit worry she cannot catch up with the others....

That's hard to get a seat in HKPS...i hope she will enjoy the school life....

Also, do you think school dont hold any party for special festival this yr....it seems silent for both Mid-Autumn Festival and coming Halloween....

The school provides excellent language environment.  Kids graduate with good English & Putonghua foundation.  Yet compared with 3 years ago, I think the school is getting more pushy. My boy started writing at the second semester at K1, yet GE has already started writing numbers now ...

What's the name of your girl?? she studied PG last year in HKPS also?? any comment or experience share? thanks

Hi msquare!  My girl is in GE too :D
Ms Fung was her class teacher in GF last year so she's not new.  I think the kids rather like her too, very gentle!

My daughter is in GE PM class this yr....
I think the Chinese teacher is new (ms Fung) .... I always think her voice is too light/ soft and worry the kids cannot listen to her.....

I hope your daugther can get in a good primary school ar....

There is baby boom yr for my daughter's year. SHe will face to very keen completition. That's why I hope she can build a better foundation in HKPS.

stressful even she is only KG now.....the child is harsh nowaday....so, that's really difficult to give born to 2nd baby...

big quiet" <----When my girl is facing to the teachers (even until now)巳經由K1比老師話到K2都係咁話,我諗今年都係咁,基本上佢由歲幾上playgroup開始巳經係咁,一對住老師就硬哂太....

P1 school ? 我會試考D直資先,浸小,優才,陳守仁,吾得咪抽獎,不過只有15基本分咋...所以好可能要扣門囉!

培基校長係有講過,如果樂基小朋友黎會積極考慮,我諗樂基語文底子吾差卦,不過最終緊係要睇in時表現啦!同而家越來越多人揀培基了...

Yes, I agree HKPS K1 has lot of writting even int he begining 1-2 weeks. But luckily, my girl like drawing (but not properly draw sometimes). But at least she dont refuse to pick up the pen.

But, i find she is hard to control the pen for some "small area"....maybe she is still small. So, I am a bit worry about her writing skill.

Her memory is good and she know all A to Z and 1 to 10 already. But, her chinses word is poor....

The teacher just call me tonight. She said my girl not cry now. But she is a bit quiet, not speak up.

I may learn from you. Give her sticker to school....let her try make more fd around....I hope it would help.

yes, my daughter is a dec girl, now k3 la, she is the smallest one in her class!
我覺得佢開頭認字方面最輸蝕, 樂基K1已經有reading scheme, 每1-2星期睇中英各一本story book, 曾經佢都有抗拒架,我諗佢可能未到認字年齡,不過都局住要睇啦佢又想老師chop多D印仔,加上我利誘下,曰子有功,好彩到K1下學期巳經上手,我同老師確定佢適應晒,而且中英都搞得惦,咁升K2我先轉國際班...

for細仔女來講,我諗寫字係挑戰,因為K1下學期已開始寫,K3中文仲寫得幾多下添,好彩我女女2歲已鍾意揸筆畫野所以Li方面無mug問題,你女女鍾吾鐘意畫野?你都可以引佢畫下綫,油下顏色咁,老師到時都會執下揸筆姿勢,如果真係寫吾倒都叫家長吾需要迫小朋友寫晒咁多個

同學相處方面,上堂時係一組組分枱坐進行活動,可以訓練到小朋友相處同合羣.我女一開始返覺係坐校車嘅,開頭都好怕羞,我就比D貼紙佢送比人,佢嘅友誼就由貼紙開始,自此想佢係校車靜D都幾難囉...

我女班內都有吾少細B都無mug問題,吾洗擔心啦,你比得佢2歲8讀K1而學校又收佢我諗佢都叻女黎啦!

試下啦，吾試無機會...我亞女而家K3，係12月細女，9月吾夠秤入吾倒n班，唯有慱下考K1，結果得左，開始左佢既happy school life....

我自己會覺得考入k1係會比較難，因為讀緊nursery既好多會繼續讀k1那麼剩出來既位應該係唔夠考nursery時多。給你參考吓：上年nursery共有3班, k1共有4班，當nursery有一班人唔讀那麼收k1既位就只有2班既位啦！

其實樂基係唔會安排觀課，除了你個小朋友有些特別既問題咁老師可能會安排家長去看看吓小朋友既情形。

其實nursery第一個星期家長會陪小朋友一齊上課。而k1-k3既第一日都會同小朋友一齊返。

至於是否經常換外藉老師的問題，我覺得都唔係，只不過有時外籍老師自己辭職咁咪會轉老師，學校都唔想既。希望你明白，係樂基這些外籍老師係唔同其他幼稚園，因為係樂基他們要擔當埋班主任，要兼顧多些。

面試會問咩：生果、動物、叫小朋友做些指令，如俾個橙媽媽，俾隻狗老師，其實入去既時候、家長與小朋友在後面既枱玩吓玩具，其實老師都會觀察既，跟著會問家長一些平時生活既問題，如小朋友識唔識講野、識講咩，平日邊個照顧小朋友等等。
