From Singapore Airline website:

All travellers entering or transiting through Singapore, including Singapore citizens and permanent residents, must take either a pre-departure Covid-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test or professionally administered Antigen Rapid Test (ART). The test must be conducted within two days before the scheduled departure date of their flight. Find out more under “Pre-departure Covid-19 test requirements” here.

On Singapore Airlines website, it was written that the PCR test has to be done within 2 days before departure. There's an example even quoted  as follows :
"if the pre-departure test is teken on 1 Nov 2021, it will be valid for departures up to 3 Nov2021, 2359 hours."

However, I've called the SA hotline. Both staff told me to do the PCR test within 48 hours before departure. So to play safe, do it within 48 hours is better. I'm afraid that the staff at the check-in counter may stand the same point of view with the hotline staff.
