Hihi I am new to BK :)

My daughter is also Oct 2010 B and is admitted to York's K1 (bilingual am class) in 2013. I like York very much as two of my frds were graduated there and are now solicitors. Their english is very good.

I wrote to the headmistress to beg for a PN place (my daughter is on waiting list), I really hope she can get into York's PN so we don't needa change school for K1. (we also got offer from Zenith's PN but the school fee is talking about $5500/month! )

For York's K1, actually, I don't hv much idea about the difference between International class and bilingual class....is it for International class, the class teacher will be NET and for bilingual class, class teacher will be Chinese. Is that the only difference? Do anyone know if bilingual class has PTH lesson or not? Thanks :)

I called York, they said the school fee for bilingual K1 is now $3600/month (for sure will be higher in 2013) which is very reasonable so I've paid the $805 book fees to keep the place 1st

其實我個仔係太子明慧讀左半年,但感覺不太好!
例如
1.因阿仔當時未戒片,我試過一個星期內三天接放學時尿尿濕到過衭,到我一抱上手時成手濕晒,又試過接仔放過時鼻涕乾左一墶墶係面上無人理,仲發生好多次,

最後真係忍唔住投訴先知個中國班主任請左一個月假,得個鬼係度!

2.一年換左四個班主任,先係里個中國班主任半個學期後走左,換左另一個,到個鬼請左一個月假後再走,之後有另一隻鬼來!

而除了新的中國班主任來之後打個電話比我之後,其他換人無人打比我,只係我在手册上見名唔同左先知!

3.由於我已在校內通告上回覆不讀K1,故所有不讀K1的學生下學期的家長日無你份!

4.亦由於不讀K1,pN的畢業禮亦不知及無邀請!

5.由於不讀了,想同老師映想留念,但學校不准,話學校有相提供,$4per1!咁最尾阿仔同老師的獨立合照係無囉,得一張班上!

6.所有咩節日的不需着校服,都是放學話比家長聴不用穿校服!一D家長唔知的就着左啦!

7.D咩節咩節都無邀請家長一齊參加呀咁!

里D就係我的經歴啦!

Nice to meet u ! York is highly recommended by my fd as her daughter who grad in York. She said now her daughter is the toppest student in her form of primary school. Moreover , for sth like Cambridge end test?( I dunno the exact name) her daughter now is moving to Grade 2 while the P.3 students in her school just preparing Grade 1 test only.
Anyway she is very proud of her daughter being student in York!

Hi, Conniew,

Thank you for your detail description about Mingwai, because my son is small B, so there is not so much choice for kindergarten, and that's why i applied Mingwai as well, but now, i would NOT consider Mingwai.

You said your son only studied in Mingwai for half year, then he studied in York PN or K1? Would your son be affected by the 'change of campus' news?

當初諗住大包圍, 所以都報左明慧, 下星期六in. 不過而家有york既offer, 再加上你的分享, 我唔去啦!

我個仔係12月細b入明慧所以讀半年後就轉York PN,因太細啦!玩多年先啦!

I also applied Ming Wai (Prince Edward) and will have interview on 19/11....it seems like it's not a good school. Have to re-consider whether to go or not....

我同你一樣呀！我都寫左信去希望可以有pn位俾仔仔讀啦！我打過去問waiting list有幾多人，佢答我話100個之內，我"o"左嘴，pn位先得160個，如果waiting 係100個，咁都冇咩機，不過為左仔仔都要盡力。可能佢唔可以俾個實數我先答100之內掛，唉......

我本來都有報英藝的，但最後覺得太貴，所以冇去in。

因為仔仔係細b，所以好多學校都唔報得，現在只係見左3個，1)York: pn waiting+k1 am; 2)方方(太子道分校):pn am; 3) Think: 未有result。另外下星期in 太子明慧，但剛見到"conniew"講，好驚呀！

York 係我首選，希望校長睇下我封信，如果有人唔讀，俾個機會我啦。

舊校即係金巴倫道果間？其實York而家K有幾多班？中英同國際又分別幾多班？同幾多學生一班？

前幾年佢曾經用過學卷, 但之後已經發覺係攪唔掂.

Yes, i  agree, i will go to mingwai interview too, but just keep in mind to see more about this school, even they give me offer, i would stay with York.

Conniew, you mean your son study for half year PN in mingwai because your son is a small B, then now, become a super big B and study in York PN?  If this is the case, do you think the half year in Mingwai is worth?

Since most of the mami here in this discussion topic(from my observation, maybe incorrect) have small B, would it be a good choice to become a super big B?  Thank you for your sharing.

係ㄚ,佢現在係BigB啦!但我學得男仔發展無女仔咁快,做大B好過細B!

其實係明慧,阿仔都學到好多野!以前他做D野比我看,就話比我聽係個外國人班主任教,英文學得都幾好!

所以我會講各幼椎園有的強項不同,就看你想要D咩囉!
