According to my observation, they have sacrificed the Math and Sicence standards for better English by teaching these two subjects in Enlish. However, the general English standard of the students have not improved at all. It makes me feel that they are not putting the students in the center of teaching but using this as a marketing point to attract the potential parents.

As long as I know, Pooi Kei used English to teach Science has a long history(more than 10 years), which is not a trick to attract students. However, they change to English-Math because the previous new principal, who is more aggressive and she believes that English-Math is more easy for the kid to adapt to Secondary school life, which also welcome by most parents.

As far as I see, Pooi Kei is a good school with less homework and high English standard. I believe that it takes time to learn good language, so I prefer more English in Primary school for my kid.

我家中小孩在培基就讀,好坦白講!佢地用英文教科學和數學,可以培養小朋友從小建立英語閱謮理解和表達,又讓小朋友可以獨立思考和發揮佢地無限創意.學生成績很平均,以本地土生小朋友多.
自信和自律又愛返學.
其實當年小一派位可以入沙田呂明才.最終放氣了此校.
選擇了"培基小學"至今對我的決定可以講"無錯"
希望"培基小學"校長和老師繼續堅持努力!

佢都講得有一半無錯嘅，
英數D程度可能比中數會淺D，
但銜接英中就好些，
家長自己揀啦，
呢個改變都係為左吸引家長都唔出奇，

至於science 至少都有9年，
我鄰居個仔P。1都讀，
現在都F。3 啦。

佢好熟國際學校咁，
講真，
培基英文程度又點同國際學校比喎。
培基係' 0 ' 學費呀。
。

是的，家長絶對要選擇合適你子女的學校。

培基的學生大多來自中產或更好的家庭。因此，學校使用英文教數及科學對這些家庭的子女來說沒有太大問題(因為家庭一定有support)。如果從這一點來看，家庭與學校配合，的確能在學校環境的帶動下，令學生對運用英語充滿自信。

在課程設計方面，培基不算好新穎，但由於不太新穎，亦可稱根基夠穏固。
