Dear all parents of kids studying in a ESF school, I wonder if it is possible/easy for a ESF student to change schools? You know, sometimes changing schools is necessary as a result of moving, etc.

My daughter was studying ESF Bauhinia School (Lai King) when she was Primary 2. I had made a decision to transfer her to ESF Kennedy School (Po Fu Lam) when she finished Primary 3. When you wish to do such arrangement, you must well prepared address prove, what I mean is if you want her to go one of kowloon ESF school, you have to show your electric bill/water bill which you are moving there and have you name showed on the bill, otherwise they would not accept your re-located application. At that time, I was only wait for 3 months only from the application date. This is my experience I could tell you.

CherylMum and Wacoal, thx a lot for your sharing. Together with the info I got from another parent (outside bk), what you shared does seem to show that it is not difficult to change schools provided there is a vacancy at the target school.
