Have your son study any phonics course ?
DBSPD have unseen dictation in english and chinese. I think he feel easiler if he study phonics.
If your son likes reading, it will be good.

Most of subjects teach by english include morning assembly. You should let him to attend more english course which teach by native english teacher.

I can ask other P.1 parent this afternoon when I pick up my son.
My son has started unseen dictation since 1st time dictation. ( not 2nd term )
If you also want to have booklist, please provide your fax no to me.
FYI, you will feel not many books in the list. They use mainly worksheets for classworks and homeworks
