Have your son study any phonics course ?
DBSPD have unseen dictation in english and chinese. I think he feel easiler if he study phonics.
If your son likes reading, it will be good.

Most of subjects teach by english include morning assembly. You should let him to attend more english course which teach by native english teacher.
