小一數學題

有個小朋友排隊，由前面數起就排第六，由后面數起就排第七，條問題係想問共有多小個小朋友排緊隊呢？我知個答案係12，但想問下其他媽咪會點敎小朋友去計依條題目呢？

The answer is 12.

but if your child is very clever, you can tell him/her that the equation is = 6+(7-1) . As the child ranks 6 counting from the front, and the child ranks 7 counting from the back, therefore they are 7-1 children behind the child.

If really need to list the equation, I would say (6-1)+(7-1)+1, i.e. 5 in front of you, 6 behind you and count yourself also.
