The Principal said the 1st batch waiting list around 100, so I think the chance to get into St. Paul Boys is very very less.

Don't give up! You don't know your son's ranking in the 1st batch waiting list.  He may be in the high ranking.  Actually, the 1st 20 should have a very great chance.

OnHo, make sure your mobile phone is on.  The principal said that she will immediately call those waiting list parents whenever any accepted applicants are late for 10 mins (I may forget the exact figure).  And if your mobile and your home phone are unreachable, she will immediately call next one.  Just assume it is true!

For my case, my son is lucky to be offered by DPS (old DBS "primary school") through Government allocation and I live in NT, we shall not register.  I also know a parent's son is offered by both St. Paul co-edu and St. Paul boys, though I do not know whether he will register or not.  But he will definitely select the co-edu one eventually.  There must be a number of such applicants.
