UT or HKU

仔加籍HKDSE PG 31(best five) 選HKU surveying，另外University of Toronto 有offer 係Bachelor of Commerce (accounting specialist), 兩個 programme佢都ok, 未決定會係那地方發展。
請問大家你地會點選擇。多謝！

大家唔同科好難作出比較，都係睇下孩子鍾情邊科。
如只看大學ranking，UT排19，HKU排43，當然前者優勝了。

香港 Surveying 出路較 Accounting 優勝，HKU Surveying JUPAS 平均收生成績 都較 Accounting 優勝

certified, 需求與供應問題，雖然會計職位較多，但香港主修會計學生就多好多，況且幾大會計師樓請新見習生亦不一定要主修會計，亦聽聞有返工冇收工，每日回家只瞓得3,4個鐘第日又要起身返工

Very different occupation.
See whether he can get the courses lists of the 2 programs and see whether he thinks he would enjoy the classes.
For example, surveying would asks for a different set of math skills when compared to accounting.
Also, ask him to see which type of daily work he would enjoy more.
Surveyors need to visit sites a lot and work with people in construction.
Accountants' work indoor, probably more office-type of work.
It is HE who will be studying and probably get into that career later.
He should think about he future and decide for himself.

People describe Quantity Surveying as "accountant in construction field". Surveying focus on knowledge in construction instead of maths. In  Hong Kong, need some legal knowledge. Therefore, good English is helpful. HKU's graduates may also choose General Practice which deal with valuation of properties.
