I'm also a working mother.  My son was borned in Dec2002 so he'll the the "small son".  How about yours?
The three kindergardens are recommended by my friends/colleagues.  Just want to know other comment and search more choice in MeiFoo and TsingYi.

從創校歷史來看，崇真創校最早，1897年﹔保良局丁卯1989年，第三為天主教聖多默和學之園，兩校皆於1999年創校。

評估方面，崇真用身心評量表，保良局每年四次學能評核，天主教聖多默用幼兒發展評估，而學之園用持續觀察。

整體來說，崇真不錯，保良局丁卯也可以考慮，這一區還可以考慮救世軍富強、葵涌浸信會、聖公會荊冕堂葵涌幼稚園等。

其實我前日已想回應, 點知打哂後 POST 唔到, 激死我 !

- 我仔仔而家係聖多默讀 K1, SO FAR 都好滿意 !  老師校長都好有心機, 願接受意見 ! 唯一是沒有外籍老師教英文. (其英文老師係 ABC, 口音都幾正既)  學費 1419 * 10期 + 80茶點費. 係青衣我見唯一一間要排隊取報名表的幼稚園.
- 我沒有考慮美孚THINK, 因我不想仔仔咁細坐校車.
- 而我不喜歡曉峰園卓思得環境, 係山窩裡頭, 我怕有蚊. 仲有OPEN AREA 樓上係大廈曬衫位置, 我覺得好危險. (而家唔知有無) 而且都要坐校車, 計埋車費+學費要成2千幾, 咁我不如出九龍塘了.

以上純粹個人意見, 我建議你親自去參觀學校, 同老師及校長傾下, 你自然有所決定 !  最好不要在OPEN DAY 參觀, 可預約其他時間, 咁會睇得更透徹.

如果不介意小朋友學習全英語，青衣英基會是一個不錯的選擇。

我個女現在讀st.thomas　k2，都好開心，各樣都好好，有ｄ人又話佢地淺，但以我所知好多小朋友升到上小學都ｏｋ，冇問題，我個女對中文生字都好有興趣．

Shum2002 - 地點在青衣村及青怡花園中間的那座教堂2-3樓, 她可用盡整座教堂, 好寬敞.  夜晚青衣好多地方都見到她頂部的紅色十字架.  

kaeli - 以我所知英基要其中一家長要talk 我非常流利的英語才收, 而且學費好似4千以上.

Summer媽咪 - 舊年我仔仔都係後備生, 我send 左封 e-mail 比校長. 話比佢知我幾咁like 她學校, 好彩收埋佢啦.

I'm living in Tsing Yi. I've choosen the Learning Habitat's nursery class for my baby girl (borned in March 02) as the class is conducted by one Chinese and one English speaking teacher. The fee is however quite expensive.

LOOLOO, the one in 曉峰園 is 啟思.  卓思 is located in 青怡花園 Block 1.  I've got the recommendation from direct/indirect channels that these four kindergardens are good in MeiFoo and TsingYi (of course, there're other good but I don't know).

I've heard that 聖多默 and 朗思 are more free while 卓思 has more homework.  I have no idea on 田家炳 but have heard that it's also good.  People are talking about kindergarden with more homework would be better, especially for P1.  However, I wonder if it's necessary.

In fact, I'll move to either MeiFoo or TsingYi later where near my mother's home (in Cho Yiu which near LaiKing).  My son is now being taken care by my mother so I want to find a place that is convenient to all of us.

To me, I prefer the two in TsingYi, but then my son will need to 坐校車 'coz I don't want my mother to walk so far.  I think I'll not employ a maid in these 2years.  Could someone please give me advice?  One more thing is my son was borned in Dec2002 so he'll be the "small son" in the class.  Do you think he'll be more difficult to get in the school?

LOOLOO and Umi, may I know how do you bring your children to school?  I mean do you bring him/her in person, or by maid?  Do you walk to school?

The one in 曉峰園 is 啟思. YES ! 打錯字 ! SORRY !

Umi - 仔仔都讀得好開心 ! 你選邊間小學呀 ?

maria_lai - 我住在碼頭個邊, 行路去學校只需10分鐘, 我同奶奶住, 她幫我帶仔仔返學, 而且是行天橋, 不用過馬路, 我好放心 ! FYR, 我仔仔都係細B, DEC2000 出世.

至於課程深淺就好睇個人的, 呢度亦不時有討論. 當然我 buy 聖多默的活動教學才選佢. 田家炳我都識人係裡面讀, 聽講k1 上課無耐就要寫線條功課. 有人喜歡亦有不喜歡. 而聖多默就在下學期才有寫線條家課. 她的理念係鼓勵主動學習, 開心上學, 不想再是填鴨式. 而我亦沒有擔心上小學的承接問題, 如果仔仔學識主動學習就唔駛驚啦 !  成日有人話HK 的教育制度唔好, 要去外國.....  我心諗外國咪多數是活動教學 !

You're right that 主動學習 is very important.  If kids are interested in learning, they'll do more than our expectation.
