Dear MeeMeeSoo,

My sister's replied to you:

a. Could not say 'fluent' but could express himself better in English.  Sometimes he would also speak English with us without realising that he is at home and not in class.

b. When my boy applied for P1 in Nov 03, the school term had started.  Fortunately there was a seat for him in a P1 class.  I understand that students applying later than my boy needed to queue up for a seat.  So it actually depends on the timing when you apply.

Very good idea. If she likes the school, you could just let her stay there.  P1 is very important for new comers because they would learn phonics intensively in that year.

Thank you for your advice and compliments.

Do your sister's son still study in KCIS after P1 or has he changed to another primary school? I have discussed with the office staff of KCIS's Int'l session and replied that the syllabus of Chinese in P1 equual to the Chinese of K3 in local kindergarten. I still wonder that the child can catch up the chinese (Mandarin) in P1 if she has not learnt it before. Do you know what is the English syllabus in P1. Do they teach the writing sentence and reading the books? What is English Level of P1 compared with ESF?

If possible, can you ask your sister's phone me if she is free (my e-mail is [email protected] and I can e-mail my phone to you).

Sorry my sis flew to Canada yesterday and might not come back within the following months. But her son is still studying at KCIS.

My nephew can read English books by himself and guessed the spelling of the words which he has not leant before as he studies phonics.

我都未知阿女n1會讀邊班，到時話你知，希望可以做同學啦。而校車方面，我會親自接佢所以唔會坐校車啦。

我都剛剛寄左application form去int"l section，亦都打左電話去問清楚，佢地話係先到先得，不過會在1-2月到再會寄封信給各家長，到時先決定讀唔讀，如果決定讀的話，就會交兩個月學費的費用作deposit。而我亦問埋因阿女下年9月都未足3歲可否入學，佢話無問題只要足2歲8個月就可以入讀，幼稚園讀2年，5歲時升p.1，係私校一條龍直上中學。

我想問蘇浙幼稚園除了9月招生外,05年1月或2月會否再收新生呀?
同埋我想知如果取錄o左,o甘會否即時交學費呀??有冇其他雜費呀??thank you

Orientation is given on the first day of school for KG & Reception classes, not sure if P.1 is the same.

May I know more about the upper school at Braemar Hill? What I only know is it's share with the KCS secondary school. However the students there are ........ so naughty.

How the teachers at the upper school, i.e. P2 - P6? Is the turnover is quite high? How many teacher in a class?
