The local teachers usually communicate with the kids in cantonese.  But they learn some simple sentence like 'May I go to the toilet please, hands behind the back.'
I haven't heard the accent of the local school teachers but my son's articulation is quite okay.

Like most of you, I've also applied many kinders last year, some accepted my son and some rejected.  I eventually chose SN simply because my relatives' kids studied in SN (some had been graduated already), they spoke highly of the school. Another thing is really intuition, I took up my mind after I listened to the principal's speech, I can really feel that it's my cup of tea!

Thanks a lot for your sharing, savanawong! I am still struggling which one I should choose, SN or keen mind. My son is now studying in KM. The school is not very very good but not bad at all. It is really hard to make a right decision. :cry:

Personally,我覺得SN都比較多雜費，e.g.茶點費 (optional) : $16xx/ 半年、生日會 & other miscellaneous items : $500/ 半年；買書 around $14xx；另外校服要through學校訂，summer uniform $600-700, winter uniform around $1000 可能因為佢

Why do you think Keen Mind is not very very good?  Maybe you can share your worries with the moms of Keen Mind whose kids are now in K1 or above.  I think kids behave differently in nursery than they are in kindergartens.

Dear savanawong,

You mentioned the snack fee is optional. Does it imply parents can have choice of whether to let the kids bring our own snack or to enjoy the snack provided by SN?  If the snack is provided, what type of snack is it, as I saw another kinder is running into trouble of offering some "cooked" food?

Yes. Some parents prefer to bring their own food for their kids instead of taking what the school provides. As for the food provided by SN, as told by my son, this includes buns, biscuits, sausage, siumai, etc.  As I don't know much about the food licensing requirement, I don't know whether SN is required to get this type of licence or not.

May I also know which primary schools their students usually enter on completion of K3? Do they provide any assistance in parents's "doors-knocking" to primary schools, e.g. recommend some primary schools to parents, or arrange any mock interview?

Sat night, I found some 紅點 in my daughter face and hands and feet, may be kiss by mosquito. But I'm not sure whether come from SN or not.
Anybody like this ????
My daughter skin very sensitive, the mosquito like to kiss her so much !!

My daughter also had an interview at 2:30 last saturday.When the talk is finished, she was the first one to had the interview with the teacher and I was satisfy of her performance.
Fortunately my daughter had not bite by the mosquito, may your daughter recover as soon as possible.
In the coming saturday & sunday,my daughter also have the interviews.

Wooh ........... we are same time schedule on SC and York, so nice. But I haven't apply Kenville.
Heard SC just use 30 mins, so I haven't change the time of York ar, hope can catch up la.
In SN, which class your daughter go to interview, my daughter in class 2.
