Thanks very much for your comment. My boy started Ling Liang K1 since Sept. So far, I think the school is very good. My son always have problem adapting to a new environment, but to my surprise, he started to like this school in 3 days. He loved his old school very much, but he doesn't want to go back there anymore. I appreicate very much that all teachers seem to be caring and loving.
With us parents who are usually more comfortable with a traditional teaching environment and homework, I think we do need some adjustment to the way Ling Liang teaches. Yet, Ling Liang does give the kids a lot of chances to actively participate.
It is so easy for a kid to learn "words" and "knowledge". I believe I can also do a good job at home to give him homeworks and to teach words, but it is so hard to teach them social skills, and self confident. My boy is also a very very shy boy. With the Ling Liang reading program, and the free time which let him explore, I already can see a lot of challenges and opportunity for my boy that can polish him into a more active, and self confident boy.
