I've the same feeling as you. It was a hard time for my kid and also to me in Dec, Jan. It's much better now after the lunar new year, as the weather is getting warmer.
In fact, mine need to sleep for around 2-3 hours in the p.m. since she gets up too early in the morning. It's also difficult to arrange any interest class for her in the afternoon, either the classes start too late in the p.m. or she feel so tired and get into bad temper to attend any class.
However, as kid grow older, the condition may be better, they don't need to sleep too long hours as compared to K1. For winter, it's still tough, but you can treat it as a training to the kid. They've to overcome the cold weather  and the sleepiness  since young age, so it 'may be' a good training to their mind and body. In some famous school, their school uniform for boys are short in winter, long trouser is only allowed under 10 C.
Yes, I agree that is 'cruel' , but will that do anything good to them? 
(I'm not sure. When she's lack of sleep and get sick  in the cold weather, it's equally bad.) |
