我只是過路，但觀各人好像只在乎一間小學是否有直屬或者應該說有一條龍的中學便是好，脫了鉤便一無事處咁既？
在我個人來說，小學教育遠比中學重要，只因小朋友既學習模式、基礎、品格都在呢個時候形成，一間小學有良好既校風，才是最重要的因素。一條龍有好有唔好，見有家長對一直讀上去便可升上DBS放以一百萬個放心的態度，亦未見得是好事…反觀DPS沒有了靠山，學校及學生可能更用心爭取以求6年後有好著落。
所以結果如何，現在言之過早，8-10年後，再看DBS的成績，才可作定論。

Thank you for your info, I feel more comfortable now, yesterday when I registered, I saw, DPS looks like with few block, one is the church, one is higher block and in the middle should be reconstruction sites, and at the very end should be another block for P1 & P2 only, are they splitted the P.1-2 and P3-6 into different block of school buliding, when I go to the lower block for registartion, I saw the toilet looks like only with one 格, looks like not for the student, are the student used the toilet in the 2nd floor and 3rd floor next to their classroom, any ideas ?
how about the school bus service, do you all know that if the school bus can extend to Tsueng Kwan O, tks !

With regard your comment, I would like to reply

1) my situation is quite common that we, though all 4 members living under the same roof, are not all blood-related, as there is a Filipino maid; &
2) It also quite common in some districts like shamshuipo that a dwelling house is divided into several cubicles and sublet to different individuals of different background.

I agree with 麟媽媽's point of view that DPS is a good primary school and all along raise no objection to it.
nevertheless what I have reservation is nothing but the point that " DPS graduates still having a competitive edge over those from other primary school".

I deeply believe what  all parents concern is not just confining to the primary schooling, what they really expect is the long-term studying and development of their children, that's why some parents even though secured a seat in their dream school without through train mechanism still worry about what secondary schools their children would be allocated 6 years later.

Despite most DPS parents have harboured a reasonable expectation that their children can get into DBS by virtue of so-called 直屬關係. it is an indisputably objective fact that DPS has already delinked from DBS and there is  no guarantee all graduates of DPS being able to directly promote to DBS ( of course parents of DPS may confirm this from DPS ). In other words, DPS students enjoy no competitive edge but have to vie with others ( like coming from SFA).  Therefore parents should bear in mind this point if they really wish to plan for their children getting into DBS in the future.

BTW it is no need :evil: :evil: evil:  la, just for exhanging point of view ja

La Salle boys go to LS and they don't want any other schools. This doesn't mean that the LS boys CAN'T get into DBS.

La Salle is a catholic school.  DBS is a Christian school.  They just like UK & USA.

Agree.  Ted's logic is a little bit messed up.  If I were in LSPS, why would I want to enter DBS?  If you judge a primary school simply by counting the number of boys entering DBS, LSPS will rank lower than most of the primary schools in Kowloon.
