I don't know if Boxhill is a popular kindergarten or not but I'm very satisfied with it. Both of my kids are Boxhill kids and they studied there since pn. The teachers and assistants are caring and the school provided excellent English environment. Both kids are able to speak in fluent English. Also kids love going to school.

One thing I want to share is their Chinese is not as bad as I used to think. Since K2 kids are required to read 1 Chinese story book per week. They were taught to write words like 尖牙，工具，利爪（which I considered not very easy for 4-5 year old kids) depends on the theme they were learning. I also have to emphasize that this is not a pushy school.

My girl left Boxhill after K2 and is now in an IS. She is able to read Chinese and speak fluent Cantonese. My boy is still in K1.

She is in RC. As far as I know, there are 3 classes in k2 but only 1 in K3 with about 2x kids.

應該國際、雙語班的幼稚園&pn係有學phonics,因phonics係基礎，係應學字母的sound（音）先再學字母的名，到K2學'ph''th'等，再學blending,外國小朋友都係咁

Phonics通常聽過letterland,jolly phonics,rwi等，如LHk用letterland,St.cat用jolly phonics,boxhill有校本，問過校長係類似jollyphonics的教法，去過課程家長會，K2已識簡單串字，K3已識聽音默字

自由係因為學校比小朋友自由係課室選擇分組的教具遊戲（按當月主題放適當的教具），但這自由係建基於守常規之上，例如：必須分享、坐定把教具&玩具放在台上玩、收拾玩具等，因我帶小孩上學時可帶入課室，我通常較遲，見到大部分小朋友已在課室，都好守規則、坐定定、有的在地墊上玩積木、有的玩娃娃角煮飯仔、有的玩小肌肉教具，有的玩玩具，老師要有技巧地運用課室的環境&佈置，讓有充足的選擇，使幼兒自由按自己興趣進行遊戲，我以前是教幼稚園的，所以知道不是間間幼稚園都能做到這點，有的會限制小朋友一天一定要完成某3種事情，相信有其他幼稚也能做到自由選擇，但我仔讀boxhill,所以我只能分享對學校的看法

可以講多D Boxhill pn 課程嗎？因為我打去學校問，學校話 pn 無 phonics 學，k1 先有，但 k1 下學期就教 blending, 咁會唔會k1 太快？我見其他學校係pn 已教 phonics initial sound, k1 重温加教雙音，如 sh, CH, th ，k2 教 blending

另外blending係學幾個音就可以簡單blend. 3個音已經可以blending. 唔會太快！

因為我大囡當年係 pn 學 phonics, 我覺得幾好，唱歌學 phonics ，唔難，到 k1 再重温加學雙音， perfect

Very good observation, my girl is in K1 and this is what I like about Boxhill too. I also used to teach kindergarten but in the UK. Went for interviews in a number of schools in HK and felt that Boxhill was the one that can shows repects to individual personal development. As you said, many just try to complete teaching the set tasks rather than concentrating on the learning part. Really appriciate the effort that teachers put in to set up the classroom in order to match the different themes.
