請問各位MPS家長可否提供一些意見:
1.  MPS 多唔多考試測驗? 小朋友上學開心嗎?
2.  升中比例是多小？
3.  怎樣分班?  有無區分精英班？
4.  一班多小人?  一個班主任或兩個班主任?
5.  大抽獎後，叩門機會大嗎？怎樣篩選？
6.  直資和私立學校都會有小一簡介會，津校遲d會唔會都有？
7.  是用普通話教中文嗎？
8.  你們對這間名校的整體評價怎樣？放棄直資，再參加大抽獎，係咪好傻?

Not many tests and exams. About twice exams per year. They did have a happy school life.

2. 升中

比例是多小？

About 60, but you really have to be above average.
3.  怎樣分班?  有無區分精英班？

4.  一班多小人?  一個班主任或兩個班主任?
About 40 students per class.
5.  大抽獎後，叩門機會大嗎？怎樣篩選？
NOt a big chance. You have a better chance if you are an old girl.
6.  直資和私立學校都會有小一簡介會，津校遲d會唔會都有？
no
7.  是用普通話教中文嗎？
No. But they have separate PTH class.
8.  你們對這間名校的整體評價怎樣？放棄直資，再參加大抽獎，係咪好傻?

This of course is a famous and good school. But, you know, it's a dream school for many. Therefore, the competition is really very keen. Supply is much larger than demand. I think you really have to think carefully before making decision.

1. MPS 多唔多考試測驗?

低年班一年四次test,仲有小測，高年班各兩次測考

(呢兩年有無轉就唔知）

係咩? 咁少架咋! 咁埋又少d chance囉! 我聽e家p2果d都係有40人一班, 我女e家p3 都係40人一班, 唔通今年開始要少班教學?

Are the students in MPS required to speak English even during the recess time?

BTW, As around half of the students admitted are through the lucky draw system instead of screening process like DSS / private schools, how can the school ensure the quality? (We must admit that children living an old district such as Wan Chai come from different family and education background!!)

MPS P1-P3學生係咪要睇好多故事書0架? 主要集中係英文故事書? 一個星期要睇幾多本?

No. They can speak their mother tongue. Usually there are non-Chinese speakers in each class. Students will switch their language automatically.

MPS encourages students to read. Every morning when students arrive at school, they have morning reading time. i.e. 7:30 - 8:00am. Most nanny buses arrive early.

Students are requested to bring their own story book and read every morning. It can be Chinese or English.

There is reading award scheme. Students fill in the reading record sheet, no matter from school library, home or public library. Chinese vs. English is around 50% to 50%.

No request on the number of story books read.

I can tell you that most subjects are in English, their English is good. Don't worry. But learning Chinese is very difficult, especially this year the Chinese standard is higher. Most mommies are worrying about Chinese.
