phonics您會揀邊個?

1)一班本地老師她們會開班教授JOLLY PHONICS, 及就本地學生有所改良, 一班7個小朋友(K2-P1), 10堂$1000以下, 會分5個LEVEL, 合共50-60堂約一年時間
2) 而另一個PHONICS班則是由一位印度藉老師及一位本地助理教授, 一班12位小朋友, 每位小朋友可有一位成年人陪上課, 全英語教授, 分4個LEVEL, 10堂$1300以下, 合共40堂約一年時間

What is the English level of 1) ? Are they trained Jolly Phonics teachers?

For 2), it depends on the degree of her accent. I've once met an Indian teacher who had very strong accent that her English was not easy to listen to.

點解唔直接學Phonetic Symbol, 咁嗰小朋支咪可以自已查字典去拼嗰正碓讀音出嚟,而要用phonics 去估個發音呢?

因為我問過人學IPA Phonetic Symbol, 最好等小二/三先好學.

以下是一些對小朋友學習英語、字面拼音、國際音標的意見：
1. 如果想提升幼兒或初小學生的英語能力，最適合是以生活化對話和活動/遊戲形式進行communicative and activity approach。
2. 傳統學習形式包括聽課、做練習和紙筆測試未必符合小朋友的興趣和能夠提升他們的學習動機。

3.  初小及幼兒的短期記憶力很弱，學過的東西很快便會忘記，亦未能很有系統及邏
輯性地把學習資料儲存。故相同學習的內容數量，初小生比高小生的學習期會長數倍。
所以甚至有學者提出，香港小朋友小四才學習英文文法最為理想。

4.  幼兒及初小兒童比較適合一些右腦發展的活動，如音樂、體育、運動，以配合他們的成長階段。
>5.  至於某個英語拼音班是否優良則要視乎教學形式(是否有適量的遊戲、比賽、填色
、音樂、練習等)、導師質素(性格、經驗、技巧等)、小朋友本身的興趣和強項(語言、
數學、音體藝、人際溝通等)。

個拼音班的質素或效果好，除非本人曾觀課和看到小朋友的表現
。但有一個方法也許可較準確了解到課程的成效和質素，就是問一問讀完該課程的小朋
友的感覺和意見，及抽問他們一些英文生字的讀音和串法。

- My boy is 2.8 yrs old and knows all the A-Z, he can speak in full sentence but still not pronouncing words clearly.
- is it too soon to learn phonics?
- can you PM me about the courses info/contact details in 1) and 2)?

Actually, the tutor is recommended by one of the BK parent with good comments on her. As I know, some other BK parents' children join her class and a new class will be opened for my kid. I found this courses good too. Please check to have a look

"E-Quest - Storysack Phonics and Drama at QQ Club is good.
My cousin just took drama course and phoinics courses there, big improvements not only in English but also manner, self confidence and communication after that.His mom said my cousin asked to watch English channel after joining the classes. Last week I saw their drama performance after 6 lessons. It 's excellent. The kids love the courses very much and I heard a lot of positive comments from the parents. Really Recommended and Worth to try .Can call 22346677/27350011 for more details"

They have summer programme now . I like the 4-6 programme . They have parents counselling & support group. BK mom, if you enrol for your kids, we can meet at QQ Club with the kids.
