Anyone know Tutortime is it good? I want my daughter to start K1 for next year, but my daughter just can speak cantonese, so i hope she can speak english after she finish the kindergarten.

my son is attending the nursery class in tai tam, it's very good. my husband and I are very satisfied with it.

yes.

in my son's class, there are on average of 3 teachers.

from 9 am to 12 pm.
half will be conducted in English; while the second half will be conducted in Mandarin.

I communicated with my son in English since he was born, but he understands little Catonese. He only speaks in English, listens to English songs, watches English TV...etc.

I never spoke in Mandarin with him before he went to school. After 3 wks of nursery class in Tutor Time (in fact, the 1st wk was a crying wk), he started to pronounce some Mandarin words at home by himself. I was quite surprised. One day, I counted 1 to 10 in Mandarin, and he could follow and counted by himself in Mandarin. I was quite surprised.

I took him to school everyday, and made some observation before and after class. He could communicate (both listening & speaking) with the Mandarin teacher with no problem.

When he sees the English teacher, he will automatically speak in English; when he sees the Mandarin teacher, he will change language automatically.

(I am referring to the tai tam school, I am not sure about other centres) I observed other kids as well, there are different nationalities, such as from US, Europe, Japan, Korean, HK, India...and I like it coz I want my kids to expose to different kinds of people, different hair colour, skin colour...etc. When the kids played and talked with each other, they all use English.

My daughter is attending a playgroup on every Saturday for 1.5 hours. The monthly fee is $1550.

Glad to see you here!!!! I am also planning to have my 琬晴B join 2 or 3 days class (TT's Activitiy Group) sometime early next year.

Which campus does your BB go, Sufflok or Dorset?

My daughther is now studying in Sufflok. Their toddler class is very good, especially their english tutor - Mr Michael. He can attract the children all around his english lesson.

I am also planning to let my daughter to study 3 days in early next year. Which day you prefer your children to attend? Maybe they will be a classmate soon.

Any big difference between Suffolk & Dorest, in terms of teachers' standard? Actually I planned to join Dorest because it seems bigger and it IS CHEAPER.

I prefer Mon, Wed and Fri. 9:00am sessions but decision is not final since I am a full-time working mom but I plan to accompany my BB to classes. I will negotiate with my boss pretty soon to make arrangements.

Is Suffolk a new campus of Tutor Time? I heard that there is a little different of the admission. I am still consider of TT or Yiu Chung, I am still struggling of which would be the best first step for my boy, ha...this is not easy!

I am sorry that I did not know the difference between Suffolk & Dorset, it is because I have only visited the Suffolk's toddler class and attracted by their nice and colourful environment. BTW, their administrator Emily is very nice and helpful, therefore I let my child to study in Suffolks'.

f.y.i. I have visited Anfield Kindergarten in their open day about two weeks ago, their environment is not attractive and old, therefore I will stick to Tutortime until I can find another good kindergarten.

I have visisted Anfield on their open day as well and I have the same feeling. (BTW, maybe we actually met at the day!!! Did you take their demo class?)

I will go to TT (Dorest) on 7 or 8 Dec for more details. If everything goes smooth, I will apply.

Have you applied Yew Chung? I have applied for their Infant and 2 Year Old class in October. But now I will prefer TT since it has Mandarin and English instead of Cantonese and English.

Same as you, I haven't made up my mind yet! A headache!!!!

Yes, yes, I took their demo class on their open day at around 3:50pm (I can't remember the exact time) .............. maybe we have met before??!! Oh! we are doing the same things for our daughter.
