Not sure u watch the local TV or not. I've just found that the SH Drama Channel is broadcasting 鴨寮街的金蛋 at 10pm till 11:30pm. It is called 翻新大少 in HK. Although it is broadcasted in Mandarine, better than nothing la...

Even u suggest a lot to the kindergarten, u should not expect any changes from them. Once u decide to relocate to SH, u should try to accept SH.

Did you son go to nursery in HK? I believe there are some HK kids in the same class with your son. Kids may refuse to go to kinder due to language problem. My son is alright. It is his 2nd yr in kinder. He wish he could go to kindergarten 7 days a week.

Critic --> How's your son now? Better?

Sandy --> Pudong Carrefour is selling the fresh prunes now. It is the domestic one but very sweet. Oliver loves it.

You have to expect that your kid won't have enough Chinese lessons if he goes to international school. I met the principal and marketing mgr of Shanghai Community Int'l School. They agreed that you have to supplement Chinese at home - hire private tutor. Although they don't have phonics but the school focus in language arts. I will suggest you to visit the school when you arrive. I have visited the classroom and they post the student handwriting articles on the boards and give you an understanding on their standard. Also, try to visit as many schools as you can with your son.

I will go to American Int'l School next week for business. I've heard they are the best in Shanghai and have a long waiting list.

joanne : my son .... same as usual, will find an excuse to find.

I have not yet disappeared in SH. However, I will return to HK on 24/9 to 10/10. Not for leisure, but for medical check. I got some health problem and decided to go back to HK for health check and treatment.

Monica has a suggestion for lunch in a western restaurant in Hong Qiao Road near Zhong Shan West Road called "Fan Qie (tomato) Zhu Yi". She commented that the place seemed OK and not too expensive for lunch.

Please see if you have objection. Other suggestions are also welcome.

hope that I am not too late to reply you. There is no limit to the no of cans of milk you brought according to my experience but rather limit by the weight that you can carry.
