Dear abc,

my daughter also started K1 this year. She don't like me to leave her along for activities. so I hold all the arrangement. If your drawing is in house, what do you think? because i always think if learn outside w/ kids, the facility is better like they can draw big big picture on the ground & even make it dirty is o.k. But if in house, you will not let it like that????
How's mardine learn in houe?

For drawing, the teacher advise to put some cloth/plastic mat on the floor and also one on the table so it will not made dirty. Yes, it is a bit messy but it save a lot of the kid's travelling time.

And, for mandarin, in fact it is a group of 4 kids (all K1 age) singing mandarin song (learn mandarin through singing) with the teacher who is teaching mandarin is my girl's ex-kindergarten. She did not learn chinese words or even bo po mo fo. But I think it is OK for my girl's age of 3 only.

I need to check with the mandarin teacher first before can PM you added info.

BTW, the cost is $80/hr per kid. And, we are living in Yuen Long.

my girl now is 2.8 months.

Do you think it's too small for her to join those activites?

At this mon, I am thinking of some English, Drawing & Piano Course. As i think those three are the most basic & important things for the childern in develop stage.

Dear abc-abc,

As my girl is too small and I worry she can't really take care by the teacher who need to teach a big group of child. I am planning to find private tutor to teach her drawing & piano.

Since I know that you got so many private teacher, could you pls give me some advices? Like.... Besides, saving up the travelling time & the home would be a bit messy after the drawing lesson. How about the performance of the drawing teacher? Did the teacher can really focus and improve your childern? or really can make your childern get interested in it?

Hi NC,
I think your kid is 2 yrs 8 mths. When my girl was at that age, she took Eng, mandarin, singing, art & craft.

As for piano, I am still thinking if it is suitable for my girl as she may not have that patience yet. Thus, I am just thinking of some other formal choir etc to prepare her interest for piano when she is 4 or 5 yrs old.

Dear All,

My little one is going to 3 years old in this Nov, i am also planning what activities she will join, however she is in PM class, seems it is impossible for her to join anything in weekdays...since she wake up at 10 in the morning, 12:50pm school bus, 5:30pm home and she will take a lap until 7:30-8:00pm....then dinner time.......please share how you guys manage your schedule. Thanks

NCma,
My girl still enjoys all the activities that was arranged for her.  Except for swimming, she is still quite afraid.

After joining ballet and ice-skating, my girl's ability of balance is much better, eg now she can jump with one foot and she can also tip toe to walk for long way.  Others, I still don't know.

As for others, she now can sing mandarin song fluently and also no more afraid of mandarin (before that she hate mandarin).

My girl is in AM class and thus cannot give much opinion.  But, for my girl, she need to go to bed 9:00 pm and wait up around 7:00.  After school, she will have afternoon nap for 1.5 hrs and then will start the activities for each day.

而佢現在的年紀會好肯去練習,
所以進步都幾好

Hi everyone,

I let my daughter learn English & Ballet on saturday. As she has to attend K1 PM class, there isn't much choice during weekday. I also want to let her learn drawing & singing, still looking for some good school.

I agree with jc_ mom that she has not much choice during the weekdays..i am thinking to let her learn drawing / ballet and swimming.

Your girl is very good, mine is still learning to skate backward and hold up one foot. How long has she been learning?

For ballet, my girl goes to Danse a lili in Causeway Bay. My girl loves it very much cos she likes the ballet dress very much.

Our girls are in the same school but mine is in the PM session. It's a bit difficult for me to schedule her ECA. I'm also interested to your mandarin teacher. Do u think she can come to Tsing Yi?

My girl only got two ECA at the moment

Sat -Piano
Sun-Swim

I want to add Oral Eng/Mandarin/Ballet or Gym but don't know how can I schedule all these.
