量力而為....不應勉強....死要band 1 英文學校...選擇適合小朋友的學校

其實我姨甥女今年都升5年級, 我家姐都開始頭痛為佢選中學, 希望大家可以比d意見揀選中學的資料.

首先，搜集下你校網內的中學，將他們按收生 banding 和口碑，分為三組。(有兩年時間，你要留意下有冇變化喎！)
第二，去搜尋你心儀的學校。(有人重成績，有人重活動，看你自己和仔女的價值觀)
第三，再深入了解你心儀學校所屬的banding，收生準則，校風....諸如此類。
第四，留意你仔女的成績走勢，是否符合心儀中學的標準。
第五，盡力而為！

For the coming P.5 students, parents also need to aware of the new changes in banding, secondary allocation method and selection etc. which will soon be finalised in the next few months. The coming P.5 students will very likely be the first batch to be affected. So the strategy of choosing secondary schools may be different from the previous years.

Changes in banding calculation and basis will cause different rankings of students and schools in 2006. So may be we need to understand and know more accurate info. rather than relying on past information from other parents.

我個女今年都係升五年班, 大家一齊交流下。
你地唔知記唔記得我地D小朋友響出年升六年班時會有一個測驗, 好似係改左升中派位方法

Despite the change in system, I think you should ask your primary school principal about the approx number of band 1 students allocated to your school. So your child will try his best to be within the range in the school assessments. Otherwise, you cannot get in band 1 and little hope to enter EMI.
