For KJS, I *feel* the teachers are pickier on the kid's English if the kid knows second language, despite they emphasize on the importance of mother tongue. When they know the kid knows second language, then they will pay more attention on the grammar and tense. This may cause a second interview or rejection. ~ my two cents.

If they claim they will only test English skill level, then I don't see why not?!?!

似乎出亊的都是kjs? 起碼我聽到的考sjs同quarry bay暫時賽果都幾正常，可能因為夠位收kinder的同學，所以不多reject

我應該寫清楚係waiting list. 我地請兩個補習老師，補習費仲貴過學費，放假去ESF language camp. Term break會去tutor time返學。做新加坡英文練習。夠唔夠well-trained? 我相信家長之中我自問都算努力果批。

我本身就訓覺時間都唔夠，間房部電視三年無開過，今年索性送埋俾工人。我最憎cctvb. 睇電視果個係同我住同一屋苑嘅阿媽，老人家唔識英文只能夠睇tvb。小朋友除佐睇電視仲會睇youtube同唱菲律賓歌。屋苑會所小朋友大多讀IS, 英文溝通，工人講英文。見過專家做評估，英文程度良好 (level 6)。我覺得我地問心無慚囉。況且interview係合格. 事後大家一時估train係有用，一時又覺得學校揀家庭背景，醫生律師有分加。如果係真，我地應該早有offer，唔洗好似而家咁... 估來無謂，唔夠人叻定唔好彩都無關係，差唔多成定局，學校點揀學生大家都唔會知。

Is it one of those in East Kowloon? If yes most are great school and I personally knew someone who gave up Kjs for one of those too.

It's a very good school, vibrant academic and resourceful. Only disadvantage is the high school fee and lack of secondary school/ track record.

Which month was your child born in? Are you on a reserve list with the foundation schools? Apart from English proficiency, they also look at their social and emotional development, but if you have an invitation with a guarantee place, then it's really rare you don't get an offer straight away. For example one of the children in my son's class doesn't speak up, she's also a younger kid and teacher has commented on her use of English. However she has a guarantee place and got an offer which really baffled me! Maybe they have bought NR but too embarrassed to admit it. It's all down to your random no.

We have passed the interview but are on the reserve list and got a 2nd assessment with RC. I have contacted the kindie 'liaison' and she explained to me what happened during both interviews, her advice to me was my son needs to 'behave' at the reassessment with RC. I just hope like other parents said we would eventually get an offer from SJS or other foundation schools.
