Oxbridge interviews will normally be arranged in early Dec 2015 and (conditional) offers will be sent out in early Jan 2016.

Agreed.

I know a case a couple of years ago when an IB school partnered with one of such agents to provide coaching for Oxbridge applications. A selection exercise was first carried out by the agent to pick some students of good potentials from the school. The agent failed to pick the school's top student to join the coaching scheme who finally got a place to read law in Oxford. All students who were coached by the agent failed in their subsequent Oxbridge applications. Lesson learnt? Those students of Oxbridge calibre will find their place in these top universities one way or another, with or without these "agents".

This kind of "agent" is not actually a agent as we normally understand. They usually called themself as college consultants. They are very popular for US college (ie University) application. Some of them will also do UK oxbridge too. They charge like a package range from 100K to 500K, departing when you start hiring them (most of study will start from G9 until G12, cause US college will look at students profile for last 4 years before admission), how strong is the student profile etc. Their package include many things, not merely making application for particular college.

Oxbridge application 十一月底才出 interview shortlist，個別不用 admission test / written work 的科目，會較早收到通知。十二月 x'mas 前會完成 interview，一月初出 offer。

各家長有無去香港各大學嘅 information day 參觀及取資料 ? 上星期去港大幫呀大取資料及問嘢，真係有 d 驚嚇！搞到我都唔係咁想比 d 細路入讀，如果能力許可，都係學亮兄話齋，留英放眼世界吧！亦唔怪得有 d 家長悉心安排子女海外升讀大學

我覺得在英國的香港學生，只要不是完全放任不讀書的話，不論成績如何，都一定入到大學，而且，入的都是香港人不認識、但當地人很欣賞的大學， ranking 未必很高，但有其地位與價值。放眼世界，在另一層面，可以這樣理解。
