昨晚的 (F.1) "Parent Evening" 大家覺得點呀? 我就覺得時間太緊迫, 又無得同班主任個別傾談, 唔知仲有無類似的event or 個別見班主任呢? 例如派成績表會唔會呢?

昨晚因加班不能出席"parents' evening", 我感到十分遺憾. 記得有一環節是和班主任面談, 不知可否分享一些內容?

Does the list of oversea universities (quoted below the 2 pie graphs) refers to the graduates of 2012 only, or all the past graduates of 2012 and before? Do you know?

I am so happy to read the list; those universities are very good.

I hope SPC is doing better and better ...

Dear Jackieson & abigbird,

You can have a session of your own with the class teachers, two of them, after the mid-year exam with the results in yr hand.

Usually, parents of every boy would have about 10 minutes but some of them spent more than that with the teachers. My longest waiting was about half of an hour.

Dear mingmingyinyin,

No idea, but my guess is that it should refer to the graduates of 2012 only.  Some missing good entries, one boy goes to U of Liverpool to read Law but U of Liverpool is not on the list. One AL student goes to Fudan to read Law as well but they also do not put Fudan on the list.

Every school does have good and smart students but the SPC's way is not "conventional" method with a lot of pressure and work, the students must learn to work hard themselves. Some parents might not like this kind of approach, as all-rounded might mean students might develop talents and abilities other than academic strengthens.

我也覺得每個環節都很好，就只是時間太緊迫。對班主班只有30分鐘，家長有太多未問完的問題。社工的presentation也很好，家長未有提問可能大家也歸心似箭。如果這樣的家長會安排在星期六想必更好。

School releases the English Summer Study Tour info today. Program includes visiting Cambridge, St Paul's Cathedral n Chelsea Football Club. My son is really excited. He is also a member of the junior choir. Trust choir will also have a summer tour? How should we choose between the two trips? Do you all have any experience or comments to share?

thanks hogwarts . 今日派咗一月中期試的考試時間表，好開心學校咁早派，希望阿仔可以試吓自己安排温書時間表。但佢好似若無其事咁，可能仲有成個月啩，真係有d擔心。

阿仔都幾想去個study tour，但佢話佢班好多同學唔去，因為個費用…我都希望有高年班家長可以分享吓。

其實年年都會有好多study tour. 在我黎講, 我暫時冇打算比個仔去住, 一來係個trip都幾貴, 二來我覺得佢心態上未做好準備, 佢會覺得去遊埠多過去"study". 不過我同佢講, 到佢高年級D, 基礎打得好D, 我會再考慮.
呀仔係scout, 其實我覺得最有意義係幾年後既日本童軍大露營.

SPC 今年的HKAL & DSE成績好出色吖. 公布得幾詳細, 至少分開咗 % of Degree & Non-degree couses. 希望繼續進步.

都好, 派成績表時仲有幾會單獨同班主任傾吓計, 希望到接成績表時, 係有驚喜無驚嚇啦.

和班主任面談的環節是有兩個班主任(正&副班主任)解答家長提出的問題, 1A~1F分開六個地方, 由於只得30分鐘, 不會討論個別學生的表現/情況, 只問/答整體(整班學生)的情況, 所以唔到肉. 例如個班同學與同學之間的相處融唔融合; 整體學生學習情況; 學生去camp的表現及老師的觀察/睇法; 校服問題; 測驗/考試問題, 考試是每科都有全級排名的, 例如:數學 10/198; .... 等等.

然後夠鐘又趕住去hall聽社工的講座. 正如家長KAA-2000講, 其實個社工講得好好, 無冷場, 又係因為時間問題, 又或者夜啦, 第日又要返工, 社工講完後, 無人問問題, 個個趕住走, 如果安排在星期五晚或星期六會好D.
