Well, that's what they introduced about themselves, I have no offence against them and do not intend to argue about it. Because it's not the essence of the issue. As I said, "synthetic" is just a term, only what and how the teachers actually teach to help kids with reading and writing are more important. Things like, how they help kids to associate sound with its lettername, how they teach diagraph, read short phrase, then sentences, and actually write it out. Then gradually help them to write short description about a story, and create a story themselves.
So one should evaluate the phonics programs not just by what materials they use.
