My girl learnt phonics at jolly phonics before, but quitted end of April as there was not enough time for so many activities.

My girl's average marks only 0.5 mark higher than 1st term, but her form position jumped 2X places.
Everybody's marks are so close.

So the ranking doesn't matter much as long as it is above average.

係, 其實小一至小三名次都唔係咁重要, 上到小四就要緊張D啦

Agree with beaclem's comment, as long as she can promote to P2 and above average standard. It's not that important of the range position. Since i have heard from the P5 student which is pretty easy to get over 90 when in P1 and P2.. but afterwards most of the students will get lower and lower when goes to upper level..... Therefore, no need to worry too much now but just keep the standard...

my girl still hasn't finished her summer hw. only finished 3 chin book reports, 2 out of 6 eng tasks and almost finished the math workbook.
Totally no idea how to write a chinese book.
i am busy tidying up and throwing away her old books, making room for p.2 books.

My girl finished all summer homework except create a chinese story book. Now is keep on studying P2 math everyday. Then we won't be so tight after school is started

Really don't know how to start the chinese book thing.
i just find out that SH pm is really great. Not many schools will teach all putonghua 'pingyin' in p.1.
Our school is really advanced in putonghua, even cantonese class learn the pingyins.

I am thinking of letting my girl join badminton on Wed morning and Chinese Dance on Sunday at SHCC.
Any of you also took these courses last year? Any comments?

BoBocute, my girl is now joining the chinese dance club which need to take class in sheungwan instead of SHCC on every sunday since summer holiday was started and will on going to have lesson there. Btw, i do want to let my girl to take a sport class during weekdays cos she is really lazy....

My girl is taking ballet and Jazz classes now.  But she told me that she likes chinese dance best.

According to the activities sheet last year, badminton will be held on Wed, only $850 for the whole school year.  I think I will join this too.

I think you misunderstand la.... The chinese dance will be on going held in sheungwan even school starts cos becos of no air-con provided and fixed room for them in SHCCevery sunday... that's what ms luk told me.

Another thing is that the lesson is not teached by ms luk but just the dai tse tse which is ok. Ms luk just take a visit to them sometimes.

At the meantime, i still thinking of what sport i will ask my girl to join. I think either ping pong or badminton... keep on thinking....

Can you please tell me how many eca can a P1 student join? and how many of them will be on Saturday? as I want to reschedule my daughter's eca on Saturday. Thanks.
