Dear P.1 parents,
It seems that some of you do have queries on the following.
1) English Journal Writing
- This is a quite good exercise to train your child's ability in
writing full sentences in English and also to support what you
have written by simple drawing.
Your child needs to do this about 2-3 times a week on average
and you have to submit this homework to the English teachers
the following day after your child has been asked to do so.
Sometimes your child will be asked to write down what they
have learnt in the English lesson on that day.
If there is no change on the colour of the exercise book, it should
be the yellow one.
Please spend some time to guide your child to finish this homework properly, especially at the beginning of the school term now.
When they get used to write more on this in the coming months,
they will know how to finish it by themselves.
2) Speech Materials
- The English poems “Dragon” and “I had a little Cat” are the
speech materials for the boys and girls of P.1 & P.2, respectively,
for this year.
The English teachers may ask some of the pupils to recite this in
the class and tell you some skills in poem recitation.
