I received many complaints from my son's teachers after he'd promoted to P1.  At first, I think he might have 專注力不足, so I can't stand to ask professional opinions.  The nurse (she's a registered clinical psychologist indeed) told me he might be a gifted child.  Since my son is too young (6 or over is better)to have a test on 專注力, so she suggested me to have an IQ assessment.  During the assessment, she would assess his degree of concentration also according to her observation.  The name of the centre is STEP Center for Child Development.  All the staff are very nice and friendly and the centre specialise(only) in dealing with child's development.  They can give you valuable opinions at reasonable price.

The Registered Clinical Psychologist is Ms Joanne K L Chu (朱嘉麗) at STEP Center for Child Development.  She's very nice.  The cost is HK$3,000, including an IQ assessment (about 1-1 1/2 hrs), a simple report and discussion of the result (half an hour).

You can find out more information at their website or just feel free to ask the staff.  They're all very nice.

All the content and questions throughout the assessment just like those in an P1 interview.  So, if you want to know the actual performance(his/her strengths and weaknesses) of your child, I suggest you not to train him/her before the assessment.
