My son also went to kv interview today, there are 2 teachers, one keep asking me questions and the other one talk with my son. I actually not sure what questions the teacher ask my son because i saw some mami said they actually don't want us to help the children, so i just let him answer the teacher by himself. He didn't answer any questions but he did the puzzle and the blocks and when the teacher gave him the yellow smile toy she had told him 2 to 3 times how to play. The teacher also ask me can he sing song and tell his name, and ask him to sing with me, however my son just listen to me and had no response!!! The other teacher ask me who take care of my son and what kind of food he likes, she also ask me did he allergic to any food or medicine.....finally we go to another table and the teacher gave him a candy, but the teacher was keep talking with the boy in front of us so i think she didn't know my son was saying thank you to her!!! I felt the interview is a little bit rush and my son didn't answer any questions at all, however i still think his performance is ok at least he didn't cry and do the puzzle game

Yes, totally agree with babie2, I think KV has given a fair opportunity to every candidate.
My daughter was doing satisfactory on Sat and she sang the whole song of "do ra mi". The teachers were very kind and kept to ask those questions patiently until my daughter dared to say something.
I would be of course better if a campus tour could be arranged.

撇開之前家長帶小朋友走出走入,交form辦手續,入房等in各樣,其實兩間真正坐下來面對面IN的時間都差不多,以我觀察sc花了部份時間帶出帶入,上上落落,入房玩玩具等,基本上這些過程不列入計分範圍,只作緩衝作用,一方面小朋友冇咁悶,同令安排順暢一點,這個安排sc好d,而kv就要在門口等一段時間,入到去一開始就登記同即in,大家作風不同,但兩間真正坐下來面對面IN的時間都差不多,sc主力問問題,kv就比較從觀察中看小朋友表現,如果小朋友不喜歡說話同害羞,in sc會蝕底少少,sc個排場好利害,我問返我老公(因為他從不上bk,意見比較中肯)他覺得sc較為商業化,kv就'高逗'd,他覺得劍鳴安排最好,不過都好講同interviewer夾唔夾,而我個人就比較喜歡kv同劍鳴個老師多一點

dear all,

i had an interview w/ my daughter at KV on this Sat, i think the KV has a sound time control management, (unless you arrive too early, then u have to wait in the playgroud ). During the interview my daughter wasn't so co-operate as she didn't answer any question , but the teacher was so nice and keep repreat the question nicely.When the teacher asked my gal to sing a song, my gal refuse to do so , but the teacher was still being patient and said " may be mami can sing the song w/ u " to encourage my gal. So to me, the teacher gave me a good impression eventhose my gal didn't really response to them.

Yes, I agreed with bcmc. KV is very good in time management, 這個我倒是欣賞的 (面試真的不用早那麼多到的)! 這幾年來都留意過不少 KV 既學生, 相比之下, 他們的紀律較好, 禮貌也好, 我想學校在這方面亦有很好既教導.

我囡囡是早 2 年面試的, KV & SC 都有報, 最後 KV 唔收, SC 就收左上午, 那兩次阿女既表現都不差, 所以我覺得 KV 收生係比 SC 更嚴謹, 可能佢地學位較少, SC 就收好多學生既關係! 同埋面試當日, 老師既表現, 我覺得都唔可以完全代表間學校好唔好, 老師有冇愛心, 只係幾分鐘, 看出些甚麼呢

, 我記得我囡囡 in SC 那天, 都遇到位很不禮貌的老師, 令我頗為尷尬

, 最後才知那位原來是校長來, 不過我都唔會因為咁, 而覺得校長都咁冇禮貌, 其他老師都唔慌好啦

: , 因為我都好多朋友讀 SC, 佢地都話學校唔錯

!

最後雖然 SC 收左, 我都冇比阿女讀, 因為實在唔係幾喜歡學校內既環境 (面試當日發覺校舍九曲十三彎, 如迷宮般), 我同 husband 都接受唔到.

Dear all,

my boy had his interview at SC and KV last Sat & Sun respectively.  Luckily, our experiences in both schools were very good.

For SC, the teachers were very nice and professional. There were a lot of foreign teachers, and they love kids very much!!  Although my boy did not perform well in the Mandarin part, my overall impression to the school is very good.

For KV, as shared by other BK moms, they had more or less the same questions to all kids.  My interviewers were very nice and talked to my child like chatting.  I felt really good. They also did not rush to the next question most of the time.  My boy performed very good.  But I think they won't take my boy as both interviews kept on making the same remarks to me - you boy is very small (as he was born on 31.12.04) and he really looks like a baby wor!  So I think they are giving me hint that even though your boy could answer all the questions, he is still too small for our school lo!!  But, my impression to KV is also very good!

Anyway, I think there must be some solid reasons for all the good reputations and words of mouth for these 2 schools. So, if any one of them takes my son, I will have no doubt taking it ah!

Natma, your baby is very cute and smart. Alought he is a small boy , he did answer all the questions. Did he sing a song in interview? Hope both take your son.

剛路過呢個topic，入黎8下。我係KV K2的家長，完全明白你地的心情。睇完你地d留言，我有d個人感受，合意的就聽，唔合意就唔好理，這只是個人見解，唔係想挑剔別人。

我明白等得耐對小朋友唔係咁好，但學校唔比提早進入，相信係為左保持內部運作暢順。我睇唔到咁樣為之安排差。

另外，老師叫唱歌，唔識唱唔緊要，我估佢唔係要細路仔識唱歌，而係想睇反應。我諗學校係想評估下家長平時會否同小朋友玩下，唱下歌仔。我個仔當時連講話都未識，唱歌主要係我唱，佢在側面搖搖身，呀呀聲。所以家長唔洗太擔心呢個問題。

KV收人有自己的偏好，我猜測佢地想收的家長會理仔女的學生，仲有係比較獨立、自理能力高和肯自己賞試解決問題的小朋友，所以佢地會問家長一些細節問題，eg佢問始講話係講d mud？而且in時會叫小朋友自己比野老師以評估小朋友解決問題能力的高低。

KV的教學法有自己一套，先生亦好和靄可親，我對佢地的評價十分十分高

，亦好感謝佢地對我個仔的培育。

KV 40年歷史，佢冇實力唔會生存到今日，細路要通過測試才被取錄係好正常，測試的過程自然係有人歡喜有人愁。最後我想講，今日的社會個人主義可能太泛濫，家長有些少唔如意就話學校點點點，社會有社會的制度，學校亦有自己運行的方法，咁唔係叫做唔從小朋友角度出法。

我星期六都有in st cat & kv,老實講我覺得兩間安排都唔錯,整個流程好順暢...不過kv in我個女嘅其中一位老師都幾cool,另外一位就好好笑容好nice,不過cool果個都唔係好惡,只不過無咩表情同埋知道我個女唔識講中文果時,佢有少少大反應啫,跟住好緊張咁問咁識唔識聽少少架?咁我答都識少少嘅...咁佢好似就安樂d,繼續用中文問佢囉,我都唔敢再translate啦,咁佢用中文問我個女咪用英文答佢囉

不過最後唱歌果關我個女都唔肯唱囉,淨係做口型咋,不過個老師都好耐性架啦,"蟻"左佢唱好耐! 到最後再交表比另一個老師,我個女淨係話左比個老師知佢叫咩名跟住咩都無同人講呀仲攞左人地粒糖唔講thank you呀!

面試第一關過了之後，要交表給另外一個老師，不知有沒有媽咪有留意表格上有個鉛筆的三角形記號，那代表甚麼呢？收還是不收？

我的兒子是細仔，識講的話不多，面試時也沒有講任何話，還離開座位摸老師的頭髮。
我問過一個大仔的家長，她的兒子表現OK，只是說話很小聲，而表格上沒有三角形。

The interviewer asked my daughter a very difficult question, of course, my daughter just playing the puzzle on the table and didn't answer to her; however, she kept asking her the same question...afterward, I told the interviewer to stop asking, cos I never taught her about that.
