Hi Yanni,

My child is 5yrs9mths old. She has been learning piano since 4yrs old. However not taken any exam. Her teacher advised back in Jan she can take G2 or higher in 2007.

However her violin teacher also advised she can take G1 next yr no problem or can try G2 if put in more effort...

On one hand, I don't want to see her playing without taking formal exams, but will it be too stressful if she takes piano & violin exams in 2007?

Please advise.

Hi Yanni,

My son has learnt piano for a year already but he only has two music books so far. One is called "A Dozen a day book 1" and the other one is "Made Easy book 1". Is that sufficient for a kid who has already learned piano for a year?
Also, do you have any experienced good piano teacher recommand for me?

There are two exam period in a year. One is April-May, one is Aug -Dec. You can take piano & violin exams in 2007, but in different period.

2萬以下的鋼琴質素分別不大，不如買個平，日後先換。

Although Richmann, which is made in China, is very cheap, the sound is not very good. Is it some sort of wasting money?! I think that Richmann can only be considered if the price is under $15,000.
