你地唔好咁講啦!
果d只係英文故事書,即好似reading tree果d咁分level不過就唔至一個系列d書.我囡囡講過話係reading room上堂既,裏面有好多書,咁佢地初初頭一個月就係叫d朋學續個讀本story比miss聽,讀完一個level又一個,咁miss就會分組邊d係咩level咁坐埋一枱上堂,同埋佢地唔會一分組就成個學期,只要同學有進步就會升level架,我囡囡果班就level2到20都有,但我肯定係咪級級都咁計,我要有機會係思銳問下d高年班先.
venee英文ok係因為佢讀德寶國際幼稚園所以咪好d囉,因佢中文就一定冇咁好只係keep得住要放晒d時間落去讀.佢唔係好叻架咋,不過不失咁啦,佢叻我就咁洗煩啦.

英文書用星加波果本my-pal,d朋友都話e本算深架,連瑪利諾/喇沙/民生/sfa都用e本英文書,中同數就本本都差唔多啫,而st mary我只知現在用緊朗文本welcome但就好似係讀高半級定一級咁,不過讀高d人話都唔夠my-pal深喎,我無對過所以唔清楚,我又唔覺得st mary會降低水平囉,就算現在果d高年級都有好多可以上到st mary.所以又學得佢地冇須要咁做喎.
粟子mama, miss pansy好好架,我囡囡好like上佢常架,佢知度幾鬼開心呀,我都有同佢報flyers呀.

My girl is in P1 at HACS. Just have some sharing here.

By my experience, it's academic level is comparable to other private primary school, though it uses Chinese as the main teaching medium.

In order to be an English Secondary School, it is necessary to ensure 75% students having band 1 quality at SMCC. With the through train system, the school would keep an eye on the academic qualification of every student at HACS. You will feel it in the parent meeting soon.

The school will assess girl's English level right in the beginning. An "I-class", i.e. Intensive class would be offered to "boost them up" when necessary.

The school encourages students readings. My girl did a lot of writing and comprehension (both Language) at school.  It will be a bit hard for girls to do newspaper cutting  and diary without parents' assistance in the beginning. Thus reading is essential and important to build up vocabulary for writing and comprehension.

For homework, it takes her about an hour everyday(including correction), there would be more homework around exam period. There are Chinese and English dictations every week.

As in other primary schools, you won't depend totally on the school to teach your girls, otherwise they would be lagging behind.

My girl takes gramma and English oral class to supplement.

One thing I would like to add is the school keep quite stict discipline. Yet they stress moral and religious educations. My girl took nearly half year to adapt school life. But unexpectedly, she learnt to be independent . For example, she initiated preparation   for year end examination. Up till now, my girl says she enjoys life at HACS.

由於囡囡現於啟幼稚園返學，學校是活動教學，沒有考試、沒有默書，上學十分開心。而天神在我廿多年就讀時，是一間功課十分多，程度也不淺的傳统小學。我真的十分十分担心囡囡不能適應。不知現在的天神有沒改變？可否多給些資料，以便更了解此校呢？

功課上以改變左好多,巳冇咁多功課喇每日都係3-5樣左右巳有d係改正,冇錯又做少樣.測驗考試前又會再少d功課,d補習社都話佢地改變左少左好多功課.小朋友讀得好開心.中英數都有類似補底班咁分開上堂,少班教另稍弱同學更快追上課程,其他堂都一齊上課,又唔會話另分一班叻一班弱咁,搞到好似標籤左咁.

Dear Erco,

If you are old girl, I can tell you that the  atmosphere is the same like the old days. Yet, as children are getting more mature and advanced, the sylabus is about 2 years  more advanced than our past's. They have less home work now, but they have a lot of worksheets in class.

My girl came from a kindergarten where life was free too. But she had dictation since K2. it seems she had no problem getting used to dictation when moving to P1. However, as you know, discipline is strict at HACS, she took a lot of time following rules.

I notice that girls like their teachers very much. There are around 30 girls in each class, teachers care the girls well.

有9年可以培養學生學業成績，比以往或別校6年就要打造高比例既band 1學生實在時間上寬鬆得多，小朋友亦冇咁大壓力，理d就係一條龍學校既好處。
