Hello ,各位媽媽,其實我個女07年9月才讀小一，住大埔，想入讀瑪利諾小學，請問誇區機會大不大，又有誰是這種方式入了呢？Thanks!

放學坐校車,嬸嬸會進入課室帶佢地,教佢地日後應如何自己找校車,因坐校車係在何東道出口.我果時都係度等到佢放學,然後係何東道睇住佢上校車,跟住返屋企接佢.

Dear Syria,

My daughter will study in Maryknoll this year.  I didn't plan to give her any preparation class as I want her enjoy the summer holiday.  In morning, I let her join day camps while at night, I let her do some revision, with an objective to keep her learning momentum.  Glad to know that the level of P1 there is not too harsh and students could adapt to school easily.

第一輪只是計分, 不論區域.  機會多少與誇區無關, 只看分數多寡.

第二輪供誇區的學位大約9-10個.  當然有人用這方式入到, 但用誇區而入到的機會一定很細.  因為本區的可在甲、乙部到填選瑪利諾小學, 所以只能靠優先序的運氣了, 也就是說用誇區甲部入到的可能少於10個小朋友, 機會自然細, 但不可以說沒有.  博唔博就要自己

各位媽咪
我在書展買了學校叫買的圖書，並且開始幫綽芝搵，發現本書都幾好，有文章分析、另有詩詞，是不錯的書本，不過對P1 學生來說也是比較難的，希望大家的女兒也可以適應。

另外英文書買不到，我想要8 月1 日回學校買
很多謝有經驗的媽媽為我們分享及解答有關此學校，希望日後彼此可以多些交流意見

另有朋友對我說瑪利諾每一個學生成績也拿100分，甚少90分，請問是否真的？

My friends' daughter is studying in MCS P6. She said that last year and this year only around 50% of primary students can get into the secondary school. That's mean ~100 students from ~200 students (P6) can strict get into secondary school. Why not 75%?

Is it true? If this is a fact, there is only 50:50 can go to the secondary from primary school, right?

I got crazy when I planned to add my daughter's Christian name on HKID Card.  I am going to change the smart ID card re government's request in this summery.  It is good to add Christian name for one time.  However, the officer told me that I have to change the information start from Birth certificate, and then existing ID card and the passport.  Not until I update all record, I can't add Christian name in the smart ID card.  Worst still, I have to apply all registration at different offices and location!

I agree with you.  My daughter is taking some interesting workshops too.   She enjoys it very much.

I dropped the idea of taking the "preparation pre-training ".    I believe she will be fine with appropriate briefing and warm up exercise.

Hi,
You don't have to change all at one time. Just add Christian name in the birth certificate at this stage.
You may add Christian name in ID card when the passport expires. The name in passport has to be same as ID card but not necessary with birth cert. In furture, change name in ID card and passport can be done in the same building - Immigration Dept in Wanchai North (though at different floors).
Anyway all kids need to change ID card again when they are 11.
