I presume it will be the same for this year as well.

It will be exciting to know that very soon!!!

1,請問學校會否在小一挑選人出學界的朗誦節呢！

2,小一書單所指的法文書，是否用很多年的。

3,是否真的是很多project做，仲要父母幫手?
4.是否放學後有做功課時間。
5. 小一上體育課就有swiming lesson，一星期有幾堂PE呢?

1) The school will not choose P.1 pupils to represent it in the Hong Kong School Speech Festival because the school will not know the level of individual pupil in P.1 so early in September.
However, the school will hand out the application form to you in September.   
You can join it and submit the form through the school if you want.

2) It seems that the French textbook will be used for more than one year.
Why I said this is because we do not find new French textbook in our P.2. book list.

3) The are a few English projects and also very simply G.S. and Maths projects as well.
The English projects will be all done  at school.
The simple G.S. and Maths projects can be done at home.
Parents can help by preparing some project materials for your children.
However, it will not consume too much of your time.

4) There seems to have 1-2 homework lesson every week.
If your child does not join any extra ECAs at school, she can make use of the time to do the homework.
But if your child will join some ECAs at school, the homework lesson will become extra ECAs lesson.

5) Yes, there will be swimming lession in P.1.
The timetable will be one week for swimming lesson and the other week for other P.E. lesson.
Also, boys and girls' swimming lesson will be separated and held in alternate weeks.

2 PE lessons per week,
which is a double-lesson on 1 day each week.
And kids need to wear PE uniform to school that day.
(even for those kids who take swimming lessons that week, ==> wear PE uniform)
So normally 1 set of PE uniform is required.

But if later on your kid joins any school team,
you need to buy more sets.

No swimming lessons (during school time) from Dec to Mar.

As some parents have said swimming lessons will begin in Sept, I am worried if the teacher can handle so many students at a time, many of whom may not have learnt to swim. :-|

Don't worry too much.

I call the school's swimming pool "a very large bath tub"!!!

It is rather shallow and all the pupils just play in the lesson.

If your child would like to learn swimming at school, you may need to join extra swimming class as ECA.
Or just learn it outside.

Last year, P.1 pupils were requested to wear proper uniform back to school on the first  orientation day.

To make sure whether it will be the same or different for this year, you better call to the geneal office tomorrow.

Yeah, you'd better wear proper summer uniform on the orientation day.  However, if you don't, they will not do anything to youand your child.

OIC.  But we are not on that route, so we don't know the exact time for that.
But I would say not TOOOO early, cos it is quite near school.
We are in KlnCity, and boards the schoolbus at ~7:30am officially.  But the bus usually arrives by 7:20am.  So in actual fact we target at 7:20am.  The kids will then reach school by 7:43am.
