Take him/her to the liabary or playground or club house for a week, let him/her know there are many activities outside, dont stay at home!

Dont switch on the TV.  The radiation is not good for kids. Tell them the true and only allow them to watch 10-15 mins everyday.

Second, you may give them some exe / stories books and read together.

My boy never turn on the TV by himself . He dont like to watch TV except I watch some funny movies, then he watches together. It is because they will follow you.  If you are reading newspapers, they will read with you.  Ask them to find some words and cut it down. Or listen the radio or music at home.

You must tell them TV is not good for kids. 10 mins TV radiation = making a x-ray. It is so so harmful for our kids..... must stay away TV
