You know, before I expected most of the girls and boys are at least 80% will go to DG and DP including my son.  When my son started the first day in SC - Whaaaaa...  so many....students !  How about including Kenville !  

You are right, the family background also important.  SC+parent's background+living address+certificates+interview's performance+reference letter+LUCK=YES!WIN

But, I have SC only.

我覺得 ST. catherine d 課程比較好 , 小學可能覺得收佢既學生會好 d ,  我覺仔女女係 st.cat 學既野 ( 英文 ) , 仲夠 P.1-2 食釘 .

Compared with some HK side's kindergartens, like Beamar Hill and SKH, the % of acceptance of DGJS/DBSPD/St Paul Co-edu were not really high of SC.

我問過讀cckg既朋友, 佢答案咪又係一樣! 佢話之前大家都唸住好大機會入dg, db, 點知今年大熱倒灶, 所以跟住果班家長(即而家k3)咪雞飛狗走, 狂谷d細路lor!

基督堂幼稚園,好似老師全是外籍人仕.程度比較深.Interview all in english.

Want to share with you moms a "sad story":

I have a fd who is DBS old boy and a rich guy, he sent his son to study in SC.  My fd had been a busy and lazy guy (he described himself so), he and his wife didn't put much effort on their son when comparing with those others who are "less lucky" or without any "connections".  They just let him went to some common interest classes and kept speaking English with their son and that's about all they did for their son.  Sounds not that bad but it was really like thunder and big storm when they were notified that their son was just on "waiting list" after the 2nd in with DBSPD.

I think what's made it worse was that, they had a new baby girl when their son was in K2 and so I guess their attention became even more distracted.  The 2nd bad news for them is, their girl was rejected by SC (but note that her bro was studying in SC at the time!).  My fd now swears that he would do more and research more for the girl and hope that the history won't repeat itself in future.  What a big lesson.

So, moms, 吾洗多講，大家都明呢個故事教瞓我地什麼喇。

It is not the first time I heard a similar story. Also the Dad is DBS old boy, no problem with family background, but his son was on waiting list  DBSPD last year.  Actually, his son can not get into DBSPD finally.  The Dad was so so suprise to hear the result.  He knock the door serveal times but not successful.

From what I know , the Dad + Mum did not do much to his boy when he is in K1 and K2.  A sad story.

One more true story from CCKG, a kid was rejected by DGS, DBS(舊) , St. Paul co-ed, 蔡继有 and some more, I stop asking when I heard this.  However, the parents guess that may be it is due to they did not collect much certificates before.   

So there is no garantee!
