如果交了私校留位費, 是否可以繼續六月第二輪抽獎?

我可以肯定講句, edb會向私校提供抽獎學生名單, 想當年我女留左私校位, 就係收到edb封信, 話"因為唔想浪費學位":tongue: , 所以如果我決定大抽獎, 會通知xxx私校(信上係有果間私校名的)
至於有無影響大抽獎結果, 我睇又未必, 我地果時有幾個bk網友都唸住抽唔到就入果間私校, 最後, 我知有人係中左頭獎而放棄私校的
所以大家concern, 只需著眼於: 如果大抽獎, 究竟私校係咪真係out學生出黎, 如果touchwood真係衰左, 到時去ai有無機會, 咁就夠了

其實我都有擔心考到私校後, 第二輪抽獎機會受影響, 因去年我女學校的家長話發覺考到私校的小朋友都抽不到第一, 二志願!

我間私校校長講明佢地會接到教署通知,我有抽大獎,但無收到信

聽講培正黎真架! 我都知真光以前都係out人(自己直升學生), 當然後來家長死ai爛ai俾佢返黎啦, 所以我女果年開始就可以抽lu, 可能覺得對某部分學生唔公平掛!
有d學校自認有料, 唔怕d學生出去抽, 反正大把人爭(如st paul convent), 其他大部分就唔鐘意家長當佢地後備所以咁講lor! 不過好多時私校都係靠嚇既! 到時係咪有本錢真係去out人出黎就唔一定喇(唔係間間都咁多人爭住入架嘛! 你估佢唔驚咩)
for your info, 我當年真係收到信, 揀左唔抽獎, 所以第2輪我係無join的, 只係叩門心儀直資收左, 所以放棄私校

絕無此事, 去年朋友的女有培正收, 但照有大抽獎派位, 但最後決定要培正, 今年小一, 怎會有取消個位.

I just read the 08/09 Primary 1 Application handbook published by Sing Tao.  On p.14, the writer said for those applicants who were accepted by private school and still want to join the lucky draw, the EDB will give their name to the private school for their reference to avoid the waste of seat.

Actually I will call the EDB tomorrow to confirm this.

How if we joined the govt allocation in the first round but couldn't get a seat?  Will the private schools receive a list that showing who joined the first round allocation?

That is in the information leaflet from EDB, Notes (point no 4). However, that was for information and will be released only before the release of the allocation of place in June.

However, the private schools do not have the right to reject a pupil on the ground that the pupils take part in the allocation of place system.

有點自信心的私校, 都會任人去大抽奬。那些學校認為抽完了, 大部份學生還會就讀的, 間中一兩個放棄了, 留位費變成額外收入, 再由候補名單收學生, 又唔會唔夠學生。

連這點自信都沒有的私校, 值得為它放棄免費教育學位嗎?

Thanks for your effort asking EDB.
I really want to know the reason(s) why EDB need to inform private schools.  "Waste of seats" is not an appropriate answer, in fact, it is the rules set by EDB.  It's our rights to get seats from private school(s) as well as join lucky draw.  The EDB officer should answer if they would responsible and provide alternative for us if the below case happen:-

Private school withdraw the offer and I cannot get the 1st choice from lucky draw.

I will raise an objection for EDB notifying private school and EDB officer should understand that it's my rights and  privacy.

培正以往不是不可大抽獎的嗎?第一輪是可抽,但第2輪約抽就會被取消資格,是否近年改了 ,其實培正應不憂收生,點解要設這條例

我唸係唔鐘意家長當佢地後備lor! 真光都係咁, 所以就算係自己幼稚園生, 抽衰左想ai返都要花下耐性
不過如我所講, 有人衰左又ai到, 對d循規蹈矩既人唔公平, 所以近年取消左, 可能培正都一樣??
(其實私校知左, 係唔係取消學位, 真係睇學校決定架咋!)

程序上教育局一定會通知該私校，同時亦都會通知家長局方將會通知該私校。據我所知，一般學校都不會有什麼行動，個別學校如何則不得而知。

至於直資學校，如果家長註冊了一間再去註冊第二間會點，具體程序我不知道，不過肯定不可以好像私校般hold住幾個位，因為你不取消前一間學校的註冊，第二間學校便不能從教育局得到批准及資助，整個程序一定完成不了。

Hi all,

I just called the Education Board at 2832 7700 and asked about our questions.  They said that if we still want to join the second round's lucky draw in June, they will notify ALL those Private School that we have registered.  However, it is up to those Private Schools whether they will cancel our seats or not.  The Education Board will not interfere with Private School's policy.

We can contact the Private School and ask about their policy.

Dear All,

I have a different case.  My boy is accepted by one DSS and I have signed the 'luck draw give up' letter.  Now I have 2 other private schools put my boy on waiting list.  If eitone of them accept him later, and I go to pay reservation fees.  Can I make the final choice in June 08?  Because the DSS secured is not my first choice.  Thanks.

呢個問題, 我又問過edb, 因為我果時等梗直資waitlist位想知幾時有機會(ie咩情況下要放棄直資位)
edb話, 無硬性規定一個學生只可hold一個直資位, 有部分直資學校, o係註冊時會要求家長簽undertaking表現願意放棄之前已註冊既直資, 我亦o係bk聽過有人話學校無理, 同時hold幾個直資位
edb果d政策, 真係好難明架呢!
