NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC KIDS has a website for online subscription, I guess they accept overseas subscription as well:

And if you want to buy just one copy, to see if you kids like it, you can try the bookstore in Fleet Arcade (Fenwick Pier Street in Wanchai). They charge only the listed US price X 7.8.

Sorry for my late reply. On and off I bought some copies from Fleet Arcade, but my son wasn't very keen on reading them, as he would be with some other books. So I haven't yet subscribed NGKid.

Anyway, on its website it said:
     
"It is the original photo-driven kids' magazine, geared toward readers ages 6 to 14, with the exceptional photography you'd expect from the National Geographic brand."

So, I guess I will see if he shows more interests later on.

I didn't subscribe NGKids, but I subscribe Parents Magazine directly from US. The magazines are sent by ship (using the cheapest shipping method), so they always come later than those on the newsstands. For example, the September issue would be sent to my door in September, unlike those on the street, which is one month ahead (ie. October issue already).

I have lost 2 issues few years ago, and they sent me another 2 issues once I informed them by email.
