Hi Kiukiukiu,

我在三年前都係同妳一樣情況,最後我都係選擇讀Good Hope, 因為我考慮到將來升中的問題.GH 中學收番85%小學畢業生, 所以上番中學機會都幾大(當然中,英,數和常都要合格).我想小朋友會係五,六年級時無咁辛苦.So far 我個女都讀得幾開心.唔算太多家課,平均每天5-6樣功課,不過星期五晚就多2-3份.

小學部已經拆了,現在小學生已經在中學部上了一年了.因為中學都開了一座新大樓,所以環境不擠廹.

當然GH 和宣道都係好學校,妳選擇任何一間都沒有錯的.

In fact, I think they are two different types of school.

APS - Co-ed, Christian, strong emphasis on musical instruments, competitive in academic results, very good school curriculum and teaching materials, small school campus, but they have very very nice teachers.  I seldom see kids adoring their "teachers" like "fans".

Good Hope - Girls only, Catholic, less competitive between students (except for those with competitive parents!), campus need to be shared with big sisters (for me, that's acceptable), traditional teaching in primary, less pressure on extra-curricular activities.  Good things is through-train system + high standard of both Chinese and English language + a stronger bonding to the school - they called themselves "Hopers".

They are both good schools.  If I were you, I will depend on my daughter's character and also what kind of childhood you want them to be in.  

Studying in through-train system can ease a lot of pressure when they enter P. 5 and 6 which can turn your life upside down (I mean to the whole family too).

I am prefer APS than GH cause there are almost no -ve news from APS.

I prefer good hope. My company hired 2 girls who are graduated from there. Their english & chinese ( including writing, reading & communication skill ) both are very good.    Even they do not have solid working experience, they have no problem to adapt new job & to direct communicate with foreigner. I agreed APS is also a good school but I still like good hope.

學校無任何消息話幾時會重建好小學.一,二年級不用返星期六.

三年級開始返,不過唔駛隔個星期六,有時一個月先返一次.而且係活動班不用上堂.

我都會選德望, 因有宣基中學老師話宣道學生程度低, 將會減收宣道學生, 長遠計當然係德望.
