My kid could sit still at the table during group play but he didn't stack high the lego!  So I guess he couldn't pass this part.  But during individual interview, he could do most of the tasks (actually I'm not sure since I concentrated in filling in the questionnaire)!  And when the NET asked him to go to the shelf behind to pick up a book, he couldn't take it out initially coz' it's a large book inside the middle row of the shelf.  I still didn't help and lastly he could manage to take it out!  I think the school really didn't want the parents to help during the interview!

i read from another thread the SC PN has got 4XX kids, so, how many places of K1 for the outsiders?! assuming all the pn kids go for sc k1.

btw, what would be the diff in english development between E/C and E/P class? how many hrs of english speaking lessons (not necessary english lang lesson) in a wk for diff stream of classes?

I think SC K1 has around 800 seats and PN will take 400+, that means outsiders will be around +/- 400.  
The curriculum for E/C and E/P are same, except E/C class has PTH session.  In K1, there are two class teachers for small class. one is NET, another is Chinese teacher (E/C cantonese, E/P PTH).  Big class with divides into two groups (a/b), they have 3 class teachers, one is NET, another two are Chinese teachers.   NET is sharing between two groups.  However, in K2 and K3, only one chinese teacher to be class teacher.  Two classes share one NET (this is not quite sure, but my son's case is like this).  

I personally think the english development between both don't have big difference.  Only E/P kids may tend to speak more in English because they are not allowed to speak Cantonese in class.  In my elder son's case, he speaks in English or PTH with his classmates and he speaks more in English than PTH.  But when he meets E/C schoolmates, he speaks in Contonese only.

the interviewer said already that it didn't matter if the parent could not complete the questionaire... count no marks!

我估會睇家長放唔放心比個小朋友自己做好d task..有d好緊張..成日望住..老師可能唔鍾意..因為我覺得st cat今年比家長填問卷就係想家長唔好提點小朋友..希望test下個小朋友自己o既能力而唔係靠家長提點...

it is clearly the questionnaire is just to distract parents attention from the kids. i dont know what the format was for the int last yr. in the group play session, the parents were requested to sit aside from the kids, that is the kids were around the table while the parents were asked to sit next to the wall... so, the message was clear, let the kids did what was asked without assistance from the parents...


however, many kids could not help crying when separated from the parents, some kids just walked around... i did see a no of parents at the end just sat next to their kids and played together. i guess it was just not following the rules!

for my case, i kept sat next to the wall, and my son quietly played by himself, helped to pick up blocks for others when other kids could not reach or blocks dropped on the floor, never walked away the table.

其實阿仔果日表現比我想像中好 (因為SC 係第一間去 IN, 同日仲有 KV), IN 完後巳經覺得好開心, 因為佢巳經做得好好   ; 而家收左, 就當 bonus.
