英國考嘅主要係GCSE(係比英國本土學生考嘅試),同香港考嘅iGCSE唔完全一樣。

Cambridge
https://www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/applying/entrance-requirements

GCSEs

There are no GCSE (or equivalent) requirements for entry to Cambridge. GCSE results are looked at as a performance indicator, but within the context of the performance of the school/college where they were achieved.

Oxford
https://www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/undergraduate/courses/admission-requirements/uk-qualifications

GCSEs

GCSEs will be taken in to account when we consider your application but they are just one aspect that we look at. GCSE results will be considered alongside your personal statement, academic reference, predicted grades and performance in any written work or written test required for your course. If you are shortlisted, your performance in interviews will also be taken into account.

Higher grades at GCSE can help to make your application more competitive, and successful applicants typically have a high proportion of 7,8 and 9 grades. However, we do look at GCSE grades in context.

Imperial
https://www.imperial.ac.uk/study/ug/apply/contact/faq/

Will you consider my GCSE grades?

In assessing your academic potential, we review all the material information available to us form your UCAS application.

However, our entry requirements are based on A-level or equivalent level qualifications.

The only GCSE grade that we may consider with respect to entry requirements is your English language grade if you are using the results of this qualification to show that you meet our required English language standard for entry, or a relevant modern foreign language for courses with a year abroad.

UCL
https://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/undergraduate/how-apply/entry-requirements

GCSE and equivalent qualifications

All programmes require a grade 5 or higher in English Language and Mathematics at GCSE or equivalent. Some programmes require higher grades or additional GCSE passes. Please check the requirements of each individual programme carefully.

If you haven’t met the GCSE requirements for the programme you are interested in, please contact us for further advice.

Please note – you do not need a Modern Foreign Language at GCSE and are not required to take further language study whilst at UCL.

LSE
https://www.lse.ac.uk/study-at-lse/Undergraduate/Prospective-Students/Virtual-undergraduate-open-day/applying-to-LSE/applying-to-lse

GCSEs: GCSEs will be taken into account when we assess your application. All applicants are expected to have at least grade B/grade 6 in GCSE English Language and Mathematics.

As competition for places at LSE is intense, we look for applicants who have achieved a strong set of GCSE grades overall, including a majority at A (7) and A* (8-9). Some programmes have additional requirements, and these are outlined in the individual programme pages.

Agree very much that you have to check the admissions requirements of the targeted sixth form schools.

If the targeted sixth form schools offer not IB but A level and if you do not plan to take A level Math, you may be in disadvantage when applying to some courses without I/GCSE Math, e.g. Psychology.

For Oxbridge, you have to take the entrance exam before having the opportunity to be interviewed and so I/GCSE does not really matter.
