Sorry wrong about the 私小 status，there are not that many catholic 私小 on the hk island side。Sorry。Jusst a side story。
I remember a few years ago the principal of the college section called the media to cover its 神童 story a day before the hkcee results announcement，he was confident that the 13 years old kid can get 8 or 9 As。 At the end， the kid got 3-4 As。 It was kinda embarassing. Coincidently，another Catholic school located in central had a 14 years old kid collected 9 As and the principal told the media that it was not encouraged and he didn't want to publicize it. Since I see that it is not the Catholic school I want my kid to be in. It is just my 2 cents.

Not sure if the college you mentioned is RC. As far as I know, RC doesn't have any "fast track" programme for gifted students. It is unlikely they would allow a 13 year-old boy to take HKCEE.

高小一直比較注重教書, 加上從前校舍太小, 音樂, 藝術和體育都不強, 所以的確跟那些名校沒什麼交流, 我兒子今年進了小一, 發覺課外活動選擇比從前多了, 學校亦多參加了校際比賽
