小兒由 k1 開始已參加 British Council 的英文 playgroup 至今，從 K1 to K2,
從不發覺他的英語能力因上了這 course 而進步或多了愛說英文，對此我不太期望，只為
他提供多一個摜常的英語環境而已！

但在剛過去的 k2 summer course, 我報讀了右思維的 summer course english,
total 3 weeks,everyday attend 3 hrs. When my son attend the first week 
for only 5 days,
he return home and speak english with me, he plays the game with us
which is learned from the course, we are very happy! especially during the
story time before he go to sleep, he speak english with me which is according to the pictures of the english story book, he can find something
to talk about the pictures of the story, it's makes me and my husband feel
that are we wasting time and money at British Council? Unfortunately, we paided the K3 course and must finished it, we can't see any improvement of
him at British Council? But Right Mind is only a kindergarten, after k3, it
is also not suitable for a P1 student.

Is anyone can introduced some good english course to me? which is better for P1 and up to P6 students? (Next year he will be a P1 student) 
Is it a good idea to join British Council again?
Pls give me some suggestions

(sorry for my chinese and english typewriting.)

我覺得小朋友的吸收是最直接.

如果是好的, 小朋友會表現到出來.
我囝囝現P.4.
P.3時跟了1位外籍老師只是3個月, 由他恐英文至現在(起碼肯講)已是一大進步, 及後他還會用上多些生字及作文. 可惜, 外籍老師合約到期, 要走了.

及後我再予他JOIN " JOLLY KINGXXX", 上了COURSE & 評估, 我強調不要列入低小班次, 1星期兩天課程, 星期六還勉強可以, 但囝囝說其他小朋友LEVEL仍是較低.
到閒日的另一堂, 他竟然安排小一&K3程度的小朋友一齊教授. 我囝囝LEVEL是P.4, 主力是操WRITING, 我都知WRITING由SPEAKING&READING開始上會較好, 佢就叫我由PHONICS開始, 我都試試啦, 但之後看完成的工作紙發現十分容易&簡單. 加上上堂小朋友講中文都無人理. (一班只是4人)
第1堂, 囝囝已反映程度很低. 他已經不願上堂.
最後勉強上了4堂(因交了1個月月費)

即轉JOYFXX, 囝囝第一堂已很鍾意, 工作紙的生字正是他LEVEL的程度.


之前我都有考量BC, 但聽回來較好的只是金鍾CENTRE, 更令我考慮是1對20人及不一定是外籍老師.
所以我覺得小朋友&家長的FEELING最直接.

Agreed.  My kid has enrolled the K1 English playgroup of BC this year. Quite disappointed too. I wanted to quit immediately after the first lesson .......but it is a pity we have paid the tuition fee for one semester....so, must go on.  

Nothing special with the class, it is taught by an English-speaking Chinese, with 12 children.  The lesson is hold just like going to normal KG with a English-speaking Chinese as the teacher to teach the children to sing the song Twinkle star, to make a star using the paper, to listen to the story (during the 1st lesson), and then choose your own toys to play by theselves with the teacher walking around to observe you .

Maybe my expection is too high.  Maybe they give me a NET teacher (a westerner), I will feel better, yes, a little bit discrimination here......

睇多幾堂, 可能會好D呢.
不過我覺得, 有時錢浪費咗不特以, 最孱是仲浪費埋些時間.

Bingo, wasting time (not only my kid's time, but also my time to accompany her travel all the way to Admiraty on Sat) is my key concern......for this amount of $$$ per lesson in BC, I can easily find a English playgroup taught by a westerner near to my living place and at a more ideal teaching timing.  Anyway, need to observe longer, hope BC really has some use, if not, why so many parents rush for it.
