衛理以前幾好的, 現在也不錯, 早5,6年前轉左個女校長, 聽講近年佢轉左用評估方式代替考試形式, 依家我朋友個女都讀緊佢既幼稚園, 話貪佢冇乜壓力, 但校舍好殘, 好細, 我以前入過學校好舊...... , 朋友唯一擔心係依家小學轉教學形式, 會唔會影響升中派位 & 將來個女會唔會適應傳統中學教學模式........., 同埋, 我聽人講 , 相對現在, 以前個男校長做得好少少, 我以前係net14, 衛理係非常好的.

我想你d資料沒係太update, 衛理小學雖然係舊校舍,但係在上年政府已撥了一筆錢給該校重新裝修,已完成,而且都好好多,近兩年係轉左用'評估'教學法,但實際跟以前的測驗,考試係無分別,只不過不同之處是成績表上用A,B,C級數作評估及沒有名次分.但測驗卷同樣會有分數比.讀小一,二會較為淺,但到小三開始會慢慢轉深.都唔係無壓力的.現在個女校長最少做左六年.因我個FRIEND個女今年升中一.係佢小一時,女校長已在.至於近兩年升中派位都達到61-64% (band 1),比同區小學算好的.如果間小學係程度淺,就不會派到此成績啦!所以叫你朋友不用擔心.

Maybe I can share my experience.  I don't think it's difficult to get into 衛理.  My son will start P1 next week.  He was alloted to a government primary school in Wanchai (Net 12).  I wrote a letter to 衛理 after the Central Allocation result was known in June last year and got an interview very quickly (I didn't choose 衛理 at all because it is not in my Net).  Several days after the interview, 衛理 called me saying they accepted my son to AM class (even I only applied for PM class).  I think it's because it is not very famous if compared with other schools in Net 14 nowadays.  Also the school premises is really old and small (although it has been refurbished).

Although I liked the headmistress and her approach of teaching, I ended up turning down the offer because my husband wanted my son to stay in the govt school in Wanchai (because he said it's more renowned).

I have a friend whose daughter will become P2 in 衛理 next week does have very good recommendation of the school.  You may consider if it's close to where you live.

最近因選校問題, 胃經常抽筋.

My son's K3 schoolmate's sister is studying in 蘇浙, going to P5 this year.  According to her mother, 蘇浙 is quite a tough school, lots of homework, tests and exam.  Thus she doesn't apply 蘇浙 for his son (my son's schoolmate).  However it does have an advantage of learning Putunghua which is now very important.

其實有些學校,就算係難考,都不防去試,因現在出生率底,學校收生機會比前大好多.好似'基灣'都係好難入,但今年就叩門入到比前多.除了在6月份結果後叩門外,還有機會在開學前叩多一次門.因現在私校和直資學校多左,所以每間小學會有大執位情況.有些會轉校,有些會加入.所以現在不會太難的.

請問你幾時收到'衛理'通知,收左上午校,因我朋友第一志願選'衛理上'但派左第二志願'循遁上'.佢都有interview'衛理'但未有消息不過明天要上學,我想佢會讀"循道'.

I sent a letter to 衛理's principal about a week after the Central Allocation results were known.  I got a phone call several days later asking me to bring my son for an interview on Jun 22 (I remember it well because it's Dragon Boat holiday and I appreciate the Principal and teachers sacrificed their holiday to do this).  I got a phone call from the school 2 days later telling me that my son was accepted in the AM class.

If your friend really like 衛理, why not ask her to call the principal again because someone might still give up their seats even school starts.
